I thankfully have not had skin cancer, but stay far away from growth factors due to this risk. You don't know you have skin cancer initially and you could easily be using the GF's and potentially increasing the cancer.

The Ordinary sent me a bottle of their new growth factor solution and I was super excited to receive it and start incorporating it into my skincare routine. I’ve never used growth factors before but I’ve heard some great things about them. I haven’t been using it for very long and I already notice my skin feeling firmer.

Thank you Rob, I saw a video that The Ordinary has about this product and they recommend that we do not use it with direct acids and Vitamin C. You have used them together so I suppose it depends on your skin type. Fantastic video ❤

Any opinion on DERMAPEN? I bought it and the changes are AMAZING
@okashi10Күн бұрын
Rob tends to layer lots of direct ingredients regardless of if they're supposed to be incompatible or not, so use it however you think is best for your skin and the results you want.
@MadAboutSkin20 сағат бұрын
Hi hun, I think its fine to use with vitamin c but you can certainly use it with a vitamin c derivative which is what I have been doing :) hope this helps x
@rvat200316 сағат бұрын
Yes, it really depends with your philosophy but growth factors and acids do not contradict each other. The Ordinary only suggests things like that to minimize irritation. The only ones you need to really avoid would be because they cancel each other, such as Vitamin C + Copper peptides, and Benzoyl Peroxide with almost anything.

I’ve had pre cancerous cells all the while using GF. I started with Skin Medica and then Calecim. Calecim started out as a medical conman with products targeted towards skin burns etc. really like both of these. I know some folks are concerned using GF if they have had skin Cancer. I’m contuing to use as I also incorporate DNA repair enzymes by Phoyoztme and OneSkin that repairs damage before it surfaces. I feel confers le using GF and will give this one a try as I think the price has been pushed by branding and the perception that it’s a niche product.

Your skin is looking perfect these days! Do you know any products for pitted indented acne scars ?
@MadAboutSkinКүн бұрын
Oh thank you so much hun thats so kind of you to say.. I find the best thing for pitted scarring is using a good exfoliator all over once or twice a week which will have a good improvement over 3-6 months.. Also being consistent with retinoids is crucial to build back the collagen.. For an exfoliator I use my own which is the MAS peel gel and for a retinal I use the Geek and Gorgeous a-game 20 .. hope this helps xx

Angie from Hot and Flashy youtube channel did an interesting video on GFs and dived right into the available science of them which has made me deeply skeptical on their benefits particularly given they risk boosting the growth of potential skin cancer cells.
@janedelaney4327Күн бұрын
Angie is not an expert on anything. There are true experts out there and there is also research to support the benefits. Angie will show you her side of the story. (Of course they should not be used on neoplastic tissue).

The product makers at the ordinary base their skincare on science.
@rebeccajmКүн бұрын
When I asked my dermatologist, she didn't recommend GF's due to the skin cancer risk, it's not worth it IMO. While there are benefits to using GF's, you could unknowingly be using them when you have a skin cancer.
@jakecauson3856Күн бұрын
In Angies video on GFs she reports the results of the available scientific research from the experts and the results show that there are not any significant benefits to GFs from independent studies in comparison to studies done by the companies that sell GFs as a skincare ingredient

Im totally resetting, dx woth rosacea type 1 at 33 and which seems to be the ongoing theme in my life LOL however I also discovered Sephora in Alta during this period And I have wasted so much money using skin fragrance and essential oils in it and I didn't want to miss out on the cool stuff! However I got way too much cool stuff, and I started hating my skin care routine it's a chore that never is completed because I don't see any progress!? However I don't know where I've been apparently under a hole! Because Dr Sam bunting is basically my skin type in a box but she's way healthier than me me, and I was so happy to see your video giving her moisturizer your seal of approval! I'm sure there was many years ago however I'm just discovering her.she made it into my obessesed influencer watch, along with you! I have a virtual consult with her clinic on Monday and I'm so excited, it doesn't take away all the cool skin care but at least I know I'm in good hands because peri menopause an and t ryong to staet a retinoid, expericing what milia is. Yay, I like the viral products too and I want to try all of them, however I'm not doing my skin any favors so wish me luck I am still using your antioxidant cream however I'm going to convert to Dr. Buntings line and hope she can fix me 😂! I'm so glad that this is not just me being a weirdo skincare fanatic and making it part of my 2025 goals. This will make it into the routine, she doesn't include much more than her fabulous favorites which I'm completely fine with and that's probably exactly what I need however this will make it into my collection while I'm finishing up my matricial plus ha and then I cannot wait to discover geek and gorgeous, I have you to thank for that they are another skin care line that I would never have known about and are perfect for my skin type! Well I do get addicted to skin care videos I can honestly say my favorite KZbin skin care concierge have been an integral part in figuring out Skin Care in general, anti-aging and I'm a crazy inkey list reader and compare all the different ones and research a product until I don't even want to buy it anymore but I still want to buy it! Unfortunately I've been through so many dermatologists that I've given up. I hardly got treatment for my rotation much less than a coupon for a lrp retinoid that would wreak havoc on my skin! Thank you for doing this I don't think you realize how many people you help I know it sounds vain but people want to feel good about themselves they want to feel good about how they look and how their aging and you have been an integral part of that for me

Hi Rob! Do you thing the TO GF product is better than the HaruHaru? I was about to reorder the HaruHaru but will go with TO if you think it's a better product. Sure is cheaper!!!!! Thanks! Hil

Hello hun, how are you? I think the TO one is better in terms of the formulation for sure as it has a higher concentration and a wider range of GF in it.. wishing you a super happy Christmas xx

Will this be better than the Allies of Skin GF?
@MadAboutSkin14 сағат бұрын
I think the allies of skin one is more advanced but its also a whole lot more money so I think the ordinary one is the best drugstore one by a mile.. love x

Can you use the serum on your eyelids? Like, can you close your eyes and carefully rub it all over?
