The Penguins did have their own movie in 2014 but before that they had a 3 season tv series on Nickelodeon.

Men its crazy how much the main cast is so fun just for the others (penguins and king Julian with his friends) manage be even more beloved/iconic. As a kid id watch this so many times, i just love the world, i hope you try out the sequels, you wont regret it 😁

Now I have the 'I like to move it' song stuck in my head AGAIN. This is a great movie, but every time you watch it you wind up with that song running through your head for at least a week.

The use of "What A Wonderful World" is so perfect here, and just one of many reasons that this movie is comedy gold! Other reasons include the Penguins, King Julien, and Nana beating up Alex.

"Welcome to Madagascar." "Mada-who-ah?" "No. Not who-ah. As-car." Fun Fact: One joke in the film required the creation of a million CGI leaves. Voice Play Fact: The chimpanzee Mason (voiced by DreamWorks Animation's Conrad Vernon) is only mentioned by name in the credits, same said for the sequels. Deep Cut Reference Fact: At the start of the film when Ben Stiller's lion character Alex is switching between alternate poses, he pulls the "Blue Steel" face that Stiller's character pulls in the film Zoolander (2001). What Script Fact: Originally, Julien was intended to be a minor character with only two lines. However, when Sacha Baron Cohen auditioned for the role, he improvised not only an Indian accent, but eight minutes of dialogue for his recording. The filmmakers found Cohen's performance so funny that they rewrote the script and made Julien a much more prominent character in the story as King of the Lemurs.

It is crazy how many spinoffs this movie has. Penguins have their own show and movie, and Julien has his own Netflix show, which is really bizarre.

Nice reaction. This movie doesn't feel as old as it is. So many stars acting in this film. It's a timeless movie for kids and family to watch all together. So funny. You should react to another one of my fav animated films 'Meet The Robinsons' if you haven't already it has a wonderful message in it and I think you'll love it.

There is Madagascar 2 and 3, 2 was not as good but 3 ROCKS! You can actually skip #2 and not worry about missing any references.
