Love your dedication towards FF9! This game has such an awesome soundtrack, might be my favorite out of the bunch. And you do them good justice. These arrangements are amazing.

WOW Thats cool cover you have here. Love it. I just search for FFIX Freya theme, and i fall in love with it, can you cover it too please? Nobody cover Freya theme in Fingerstyle Guitar.
@AntonBetita4 жыл бұрын
Ahh thank you! One day I hope to cover Freya's theme as well. I have a few other songs lined up that I'm learning/practicing right now so I haven't found the time to do it, but I hope in the future I'll be able to do a cover of Freya's theme

Hey, Anton! Great video! Can you give me advice, what kind of practice lesson should i take to improve my fingerstyle like your level? What practice lessons helps you to improve your level of playing guitar?
@AntonBetita4 жыл бұрын
Okay, this might not be a conventional answer but here it goes. First of all, I never took guitar lessons. Secondly, I'm going to echo what Tommy Emmanuel says; "I practice songs". What works for me is finding a song I like and then trying to learn how to play that song in fingerstyle. Most important thing is melody, and then I try to build the rhythm picking around that melody. It's a lot of trial and error, but that's how I end up with my arrangements. I don't usually practice scales or techniques by themselves. I practice the song. And if there's a part in the song that's especially challenging, I practice that part over and over. That said, there are some basic structural things that are good to know, like which fingers correspond to which strings, generally. My guide is usually this: Thumb = 6th, 5th, and 4th string (basically all the "bass" strings) Index finger = 3rd string Middle finger = 2nd string Ring finger = 1st string Of course, I break that rule all the time too lol but it's a good structural basis. If you try doing an open E minor shape and just practice alternate-picking with those fingers hitting their corresponding strings, all the notes will sound good, like they belong to that chord. I feel like that's a good way to get used to fingerpicking.

I plan on doing more FF covers in the future, though right now there are a few songs I have lined up that I want to record before I delve into more FF tunes. In the meantime though, have you checked out my FF covers playlist? I got LOTS of FF covers on it, mostly from FF8 and FF9: kzbin.info/www/bejne/maXZeX1ui8Zonas
