Remember to watch M. Butterfly (movie/play) after watching the opera. And then Google "Bernard Boursicot". Do it in this exact order and you'll get the best feeling ever. My english literature friend suggested this to me and it was amazing.

Kinda. Ms. Saigon is inspired by Madama Butterfly. On the other hand M.🦋 is inspired by this opera and the real life political/romantic affair between a French diplomat and a Japanese opera singer. If you hate Madama Butterfly/ Toxic Masculinity (like me) you will absolutely love love LOVE. M. 🦋 If you love Madama Butterfly....you might still like M.🦋. But M.🦋 is literally one of my favorite (if not my favorite) works of art ever.
