The Madame Tussauds attraction opened in its current location on the 14th July 1884. In 2005, Madame Tussauds was sold to Dubai International Capital who then sold The Tussauds Group to The Blackstone Group in May 2007. Operation of Madame Tussauds was then taken over by Merlin when Blackstone's merged the attraction with its Merlin Entertainments.
Madame Tussauds used to contain the London Planetarium in the west wing until 2010, when it was replaced by Marvel Universe 4D. A large animated dark ride, The Spirit of London, opened in 1993 showing the history of London from a black cab. The tour is separated into zones including Film, Music, Sports, Royals, Marvel and Star Wars

Those kids running around in the horror section were braver than I would have ever been… I had to close my eyes and be walked through a much less realistic wax museum’s horror section when I was that age hahaha

Morgan Freeman & Johnny Depp are so lifelike, it's just spooky..... not a great job on my beloved Harrison (as Han Solo), though; he's much better looking than that & the hair is all wrong- who's with me on this?
