the funny thing was that they were supposed to be exact parallels of naruto & sasuke but kind of different. madara, the uchiha, was much like naruto in goof & wanting to catch up with hashirama. hashirama, the senju who married an uzumaki, was like sasuke in innate talent & being good in everything he does. comparison wise, hashirama & madara's relationship had more deep foundation. it was always sharing of their ideals & dreams for the future of their families & other people, not just because of the sense of acknowledgement (in naruto's part) that's why them ended up fighting again hurt more. madara, at some point after his brother's death & entire clan's surrender to senjus, he tried to accept hashirama's helping hand. he tried to move on & be on track again, despite seeing & having to interact with tobirama (the one who killed his last remaining brother) almost every day. he tried to go back in doing right, until he was manipulated into believing a lie from the stone tablet.

Have to say, as much as I like this, I would want Mito Uzumaki (Hashirama’s eventual wife) to be a third member of the group with Hashirama and Madara when they were kids. It could give a nice parallel to team 7, and she could maybe be the one who came up with the “three-man-squad” thing to resemble the dynamic of her, Hashirama, and Madara. But that’s just me.

Hashirama called out his clan. Senju are not the good guys, they are even more evil than the Uchiha. They call themselves Senju clan of love then kill all of Madara little brothers. Problem I have with Senju is that they are hypocrites. They label themselves as good and Uchiha as evil but they are doing the same thing they are blaming the Uchiha about.

That's the thing about war, isn't it? Fight or be killed. As for them being hypocrite, well , both of them are, both Senju and Uchiha. They see their families are hurting and because they love them they go to fight and try to avenge them. Cycle of hatred wasn't only for Uchiha. As I see it, both were wrong in how to achieve the peace they were chasing after. One of the things that gets overlooked often when discussing about how achieving peace through war is ridiculous is : sometimes fights come to you and you just have to defend and fight back. Someone can't achieve anything without first getting acknowledged from the other side. That being said, both Hashirama and Madara lost brothers to war. So I can't really see how one side is more hypocrite or evil. Also it's never a good idea to sum all the people of a group in such short and inefficient word. In groups, often, are different people with different moral codes and different personalities. Both good and bad. So let's not judge all from some. Or even one person from a few actions.
