It's not spoilers, it's something you've already seen, but the rinnegan that he had in his edo tensei form was an illusion, because these were originally transplanted to nagato, pain's eyes were madara's, then when he completely revived he lost those false rinnegan, and zetsu recovered one of his eyes through the one where nagato's body was, there is still one more eye to recover, the one that obito has, which also belongs to madara, so if you're wondering, the only rinnegan that has existed so far, the only one who has awakened it is madara

It’s straightforward. Itachi Edo Tensei had both his Mangekyo Sharingan. This is because it was a reanimated corpse made with sacrifice and ash. Itachi original eyes were already transplanted into Sasuke. It’s the same logic. Madara Edo Tensei had Rinnegan cause it was a reanimation. Madara’s original 2 Rinnegan were transplanted to Nagato then after that taken and used by Obito. Hence Madara after Rinne Rebirth is reborn blind. He is now on the hunt to reclaim his eyes 👀

15:29 his eyes didn't fade because of Amaterasu. Those eyes he had when reanimated can basically be considered copies of his original eyes. But, since he was able to bring himself back to life, they crumbled into dust since one eye was hidden away and the other was with Obito. If he still had them in death then that wouldn't have happened at all.

@Ciffer-1998 not really? The sacrificed person is called that for a reason. They're literally being used to bring that dead person physically into the world of the living. It would make sense by your logic if it was, say, like Sasori. A puppet with the only living part being the heart allowing his true self to manifest, but it's not. Using the Reanimation on his end, he pretty much anchored him permanently into the world. And with rinne rebirth after just making his dead body living again. The eyes were there in his reanimated body, basically as an illusion to what he had naturally in life. His real eye were still the only (technically) living part of him that were still in the living world.

Since Madara's eyes were still in existence elsewhere I think that's the primary reason he didn't get them back. That said I'm not really sure why he got to keep the Hashirama cells after getting his body back. Maybe the body Madara replaced was itself supplanted with Hashirama cells, and they're just so insanely resilient that they remained after the rinne rebirth even though none of their other features did? Or maybe Kabuto added the Hashirama cells after putting Madara's soul into a body, and that's how he kept it? I don't think this is ever elaborated on

That or the grafted Hashirama cells acted as a real life essence and allowed his soul to stay in that body and treat it like his real form. We can also consider that perhaps Madara doesn't have anything left of a real body due to decomposition and the Rinne Rebirth just puts souls back into any compatible body and not just the original.

My understanding with why he needed to be re-animated to be at full power is two reasons: 1: The re-animations are immortal and heal anything, but that means they can't change, so he couldn't absorb the first Hokage's chakra or become a Jinchuriki. So he had to rely on Obito for that at first. And 2: There are certain abilities that require life force or nature energy to use, and the re-animations only have chakra. That's why a re-animation can't "give their life force" to use Rinne rebirth on themself. Although, that one I'm not sure about. I seem to remember Pain doing some stuff with life force when he was re-animated.

Basically, Nagato's pair of Rinnegan Eyes was originally Madara's. He implated those to them that's why Madara told Obito back in the cave that his eyes back then were not really his and he was just loaning them. So technically, he died without having his own eyes implanted on him which is why when he got brought back to life for real, he did not have any eyes since he died not having them. I think that's why... Idk.

Even with eyes closed, you could theoretically think that Madaras bodily senses, hearing and all can still hear and sense things around him that he's fighting. Madara is only second to Hashirama so fighting with his eyes closed is childs play at this point for him. Then also him absorbing some of Hashiramas chakra you see him able to awaken sage jutsu and use it. With one of the aspects of sage jutsu is you get crazy level of sensory as well. Also like what other people are saying, the eyes dead Madara are just fake eyes so when the body gets revived, those eyes get deleted, and Madara's alive eyes are still in the world, the one in Obitos head, and the other one that was s in storage up until Zetsu delivers it to Madara. Like someones example of the eyes, Sasuke has Itachis actual eyes, while Edo Itachi has edo dead eyeballs. Kabuto basically made the edo bodies complete prior to their original death.

In the Obito flashback we saw Madara as a decrepit old man with stolen eyes which should have been the state he was revived in whether it was through the Reanimation or Ronnie Rebirth. There is a plot hole concerning how Kabuto modified Madara to appear in his Prime state. The reason his eyes crumbled when revived through Reanimation is his real eyes were still in the living plane fully functional. The Reanimation jutsu can only cope the effects and powers of certain abilities but cannot copy abilities that use life force to use.

Then when Nagato died Obito transplanted the left eye into him and hide the right eye so that's where Madara's real eyes were. The Reanimation Jutsu (EdoTensei) can revive anyone with any power that they used to have even the eye powers but when BlackZetzu used Rinne Rebith on Madara the soul of Madara became the body he was using Madara's body... It could have revived the real Madara's body but his soul was already taking a physical body but in any case Madara's reincarnation couldn't be revived with his eyes because Obito had Madara's real eyes... That's why the body he was incarnating lose the Rinnegan that the EdoTensei recreated

All movies are worth watching. even thought most of it was not canon, but some of it does give more context about the world and main story. The Lost Tower was my fav amongst those films. And there are 2 films that canon/half canon which is "Road to Ninja" and "The Last" obviously canon. Every movies had really good plot and you should react to all of it include the OG films. Being that he had already possessed the sharingan. To me, it still don't make sense. Charka flows throughout the body, eyes included but for some reason a sharigan/ Rinnegan can be destroyed permanently but Madara still had some of the powers of the Sharingan. It would understandable if it was a case that if Sasuke lost his special eye while fighting Naruto, we could say that thr charka was very dense in the eye and couldn't flow throughout the body. Adult Sasuke shouldn't have thr problem. If the charka was some special thing that is only accessible in that one area and doesn't spread (even though it makes no sense because it not a forever lasting battery), then both Adult Sasuke and Kakshi shouldn't have charka drainage when it is used or activated (talking about Rinnegan for Sasuke and Sharingan for Kakashi). So it means that the charka flows throught thr body. Sasuke still has Hashirama's cell thanks to Kabuto so there is that.

Ron pretty much got the rinnegan thing right. His actual eyeballs didn't "die" with him. He "loaned" his eyeballs to Nagato since he was a baby, so when Madara died he didn't have his actual eyes with him. So upon revival, his "fake" reanimation rinnegan eyes crumbled to dust because they were the only thing that couldn't be "revived" cus they are still "alive" sort of speak, is just that they aren't in his sockets (One Eyeball was hidden by Obito and found and brought to him by Zetsu, the other eyeball is in Obito's eyesocket).

For the rinnegan, Obito has the rinnegan that were taken from Pain, who had them from Madara. So when Madara was REANIMATED, he was reanimated as he was before death (kind of? He was already old when he met obito so Kabuto PROBABLY brought him back as a younger self somehow). When he is brought back to life, his ORIGINAL rinnegan werent on his body when he died, and it doesnt regrow them for you as far as we know. Obito has Madaras original rinnegan, so Madara has to reclaim them.

Yes you should definitely watch the other Naruto movies, but please watch Boruto next (I’ve read the manga it’ll keep getting better and better) Also please react to Berserk some day it is insanely good, watch the 1997 anime version first, then the Memorial edition (other animation + ending of the first season) and then the season 2 (the manga is much better though but the anime is still worth watching)

It’s common sense, if he loses one eye(sharingan, rinnegan, byakugan) doesn’t matter, the only thing that happens is you now have one eye and HALF ITS POWER which shows how crazy strong Madara is. ✌🏾💯😂. The Last is cannon and worth a watch. Loved the rest of the movies to be honest, but they aren't cannon at all. You're safe to watch all but the last now, and the younger days are awesome throwbacks to relive now. But the last, not until after the well, you'll know. Once the story starts winding down it's safe then. But you have to watch it after 493. Otherwise well, spoilers.

Also, he lost his eyes when he was brought back because someone else currently has his original eyes. The reanimating rinnegan were fake.

Marda doesn’t have eyes prior his death he put his eyes in nagato and obito took those eyes back when killing kohna but obito has one the eyes in his left eye but he hid the right one. But I would explain how to obtain the rinnegan but you’ll know that as you keep watching but I will say it has something to do with combining charka

Not trying to ruin the mood or anything but this is the episode where I was done with the author like nothing makes sense with madara at that point😭 to enjoy this shit you just have to not pay attention to anything and go along with it because the amount of plotholes that was present in those two episodes is ridiculous 😭
