I think it’s because he already unblocked it and I guess they don’t have to use any eyes power when activating the sussano once it’s unblock? Itachi didn’t use his Sharingan when using his sussano

You can have your own opinion with Obito and Kakashi, but even Naruto himself says/knows that Gaara had it worse. Previous Gaara is what Naruto would have become without loved ones around him. This is literally a whole plot point.

Another re-write of canon ... Madara shouldn't have been able to bring out his Sus'ano due to both his reanimated eyes crumbled (and they pacifically said it was a power of having both mangeko sharingun) - then the absorption of the tail beasts (akatski took multiple members and over 3 days) and Madara does multiple tail beasts in seconds ... when you stray so far from your own rules it hurts the story with poor writing/ideas.

Nothing is poor written here. Firstly it was stated that to unlock susano you need mangekyou sharingan, not to use it. And then the akatsuki extracting tailed beast thing was that gaara was the jinchuriki means shukaku was sealed inside him ,here the tail beast were free. Akatsuki has to extract it from gaara
