Hey Madars I just wanted to say that as a skateboarder/snowboarder for almost 25 years, I have to say what you are doing with Skate Tales is hands down the raddest thing happening in the industry. Much love from Montana, if you ever find yourself up this way holler and come ride/skate!

This guy is a local legend. He is doing so much to support skating community in Latvia and all around. Really nice to everyone and extremely creative on the board. I remember meeting him for the first time almost 20 years ago and he was the kid everyone was talking about already. Certainly stood out of the crowd, because he was level higher then everyone else at that time in Latvia and its great to see him succeed while doing things which he loves.

I had 3 at 25, work in construction. Skateboarding and I had a divorce. Not something spoken of much in the industry, but sad and common. Once I had kids, no way I’m doing what I want on a board ever again. Watch out kids, it’ll happen to you.

So much respect to the Nine Club for putting this episode together and showing the world more of how amazing of a person Madars is, the dude is a walking local legend to THE WORLD. So much respect to him for showing up for his Country and just every destination he visits with so much willingness to learn. Absolutely incredible.

This dude is super cool. I feel like he always has such a good attitude, and he totally rips on a skateboard. Perfect skate ambassador! At the same time I imagine it's hard always being on the move, traveling here and there, away from your family and friends, not everyone is good at living out of a backpack.

Great to finally see you at the Nine Club Madars! I have been waiting a while for this one. From the first time I saw you compete at Simple Session I could tell that you have the most fun on a skateboarder. Later down the years when you came to kick it with us in Estonia I also learned that you are the nicest guy. I've now picked up a board again over 15 years because started watching the Nine Club and got inspired listening everyone's stories. Even more stoked to see you on! Respect and love to you and all the stuff you are doing for skateboarding at the Baltics and all over the world.

Great episode. I used to regularly sleepwalk as a kid. One of my reoccurring walks was me…walking downstairs to (what I thought) was the bathroom…and I would actually be in my parent’s room. I would see myself in the bathroom and see the toilet but in reality I was peeing right next to their bed. I think the reason you are not supposed to wake a sleepwalking person is cos it frightens the sh*t out of’em!!! From my personal experience, you see everything you are doing as if you are awake (but your eyes are closed). So everything feels super real. To be woken up mid-sleepwalk jolts you into a new reality. My folks never meant to but sometimes they freaked out if I was peeing next to them. To see yourself peeing in a toilet…and then flash into a new spot would give me near heart attacks at about the age of 12 😆 Skate or die!

There are a lot of stuff (videos, articles, etc), but they are in Russian language... Thrasher mag. did a trip to the USSR back in 1989, and they released an article about it, so that's a good start.
