This applies to music as well. The moment I stopped overthinking and expecting too much of myself, I started writing more easily, and loved what I was writing...

This made me cry…it’s exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been struggling with a block even though I can draw a portrait, suddenly fear gripped me out of nowhere and for days I’ve not been able to shake it

It applies to everything. Not just drawing. Such a beautiful beautiful thing you created with your voice and with your hands. I've got many people in mind I'm going to forward your video to. Ty🙏

I used to want to draw in a very "clean" way, and would always overthink without actually finishing anything because it "wasnt perfect" or not what I wanted, later on I discovered that I love how I sketch, paint and draw and its messy and not perfect but I dont let it stop me anymore, because its my style and I love it. Beautiful piece and inspiring words! Hello from Mexico!

You are truly motivating me. Thank you for posting your videos. Sometimes, I go a few weeks without drawing. After watching your videos (and some other peoples), I feel like drawing again. I also need to stop overthinking it.

Inspirational, great motivator, sharing your mindset for everyone to get better and encouraging them that they all can do it. That's a powerful kind of love. Thanks bro ! I love this charcoal drawing. Plus such a great choice of music to accompany the message.

I am on a spree of watching your videos and I just wanna say "thank you".. I've always loved art and recently wanted to get back to it and learn something new. I turned to charcoal and started learning, doing research and then I found you. Watching your art genuinely woke something in me and even got me to cry, made me THINK, made me FEEL, made me want to pursue something different than rules and perfection but expression and freedom. It also made me think of how differently I wish to explore and appreciate my current muse, whom I feel like I'd want to be my forever art!

Oh man, this is so true. How many mistakes i made and how to prevented me from trying something else. I am not really an artist. Merely making things for my own enjoyment. But thinking and thinking, judging how i applied something, The worst is, that i didn't truly made what i wanted to make. Thanks for making that video and yes, i believe you are correct. Overthinking is really in every aspect of life, not just art, something that isn't a blessing in most situations. Be bold and embrace.

You are one of my favorite artists of all time. I over think and stall with drawing. I can easily draw really cool stuff when im in that mindset. But i want to stop just drawing on sketch books and learn how to take my art and apply it on canvas, and make it look polished enough to sell. I love you and your art and will be making myself watch this a bunch. Hoping one day when i am successful in it i can message you motivitated me, cause i am telling myself this message is meant for your supporters like me. I would love to buy a commission one day and have it hanging on my wall.

So good!😊 I love your art and insight! You are one of my favorite artists and I’m always inspired by your videos! I have been practicing oil painting for some time, but my first “art love” is pastels and charcoal! I needed these reminders and I’m going to quote you in my next video on Sunday! You’re amazing, so open and generous! I’m very grateful for you!

What is our pineal gland picking up and transcending? What images in our minds want to come through? What stories does God talk through us? Loving your work.
