It’s the best running has ever been in football games, I do really like the running and what not just wish they cared enough to make new tackling and catching animations. The shoulder pads are still obnoxiously large, the graphics are still awful, quarterback running behind the line is awkward, sidelines are half assed, stadiums are dead and weird, and still a HUGE lack of detail. Not even every garenteed starter has a facescan and signature movement.

Something I would love in madden is like what they had in ncaa where the screen would shak in hostile enviorments but not AS often and at like the louder stadiums for example like in a playoff game at the saints stadium the screen would shake I would love that because when in a franchise things like that can make you really want to play your starters so you could get home field advantage because it dosent really make a diffrence if u have home field advantage in madden

I respectfully disagree about the quality of the changes. I’m a HUGE Madden fan, have been since they came on a cartridge with a yellow tag all the way back in the Genesis days, I’m an older gamer and tend to appreciate changes much more than those younger than I. But with that being said, I played a game on my Xbox One X, and then once that finished went over and Played another game on the PS5, and for me at least the changes weren’t just noticeable, they were profound. The movements, no more robotic animations, film grain, Ray tracing, more reflections, individual snowflakes, all the players are brand new models, the fans look like fans not low res anymore, the sideline players look like actual players no more low poly texture, the next gen stats by aws(Amazon web services), and the dualsense. What they did for this game with the dualsense is amazing and I can no longer play this game on the current gen, the upgrade is profound. I very much disagree with your minimization of the changes. They are much more profound than your making it out to be. I guess I appreciate nuance a bit more than most I guess.

Im playing NCAA 14 and its 10 times better than Madden today! The players don’t clip, there is gang tackles, referees, fans based on teams, neat cutscenes, a fun dynasty mode. I could keep going. Btw, this is a 7 year old game I’m talking about. I even think Madden 08 is better than what we have.

After not liking it initially I’m seeing a much more realistic sim like game if you will. I just hope they don’t patch it and mess up a good thing. The man defense doesn’t lock up everything and I’m seeing all the you tubers and cheese defense that was the meta in current gen falling on its face. You can’t just call man and LB’s hang with TE’s with good speed. Subbing DB’s in at LB are going to cost you when the offense runs the rock, as it should. Finally we can start taking strategy into consideration. It still has some flaws but big step in right direction.

Throw power isn’t just distance, it also is the velocity the ball travels at. More throw power means distance and the speed the ball gets to the receiver. So unless you add a throw velocity rating there to it doesn’t make sense to change it.

Few things you missed. Though it's very minor detail, players will pick someone up on the ground on the sidelines. And players do jump over camera men, or they'll roll out of the way. I would like to see the sidelines more detailed. But it's whatever. It doesn't effect gameplay what so ever. Nor do I see their reactions often. When doing fan celebrations as the away team, the player will leap up into the crowd and get pushed back down. Then they'll talk a little shit. I posted a video of this on my page. Made me laugh. Also players will now reach for the endzone. I record a clip of my RB getting tackled at the yard and half mark, but him reaching ended up getting me the TD. I've also had a RB do it while going out of bounds. But he was short. Not sure what triggers reaches or how often they will do it. But it is in the game I can't stress enough how great the new routes are. It completely changed the passing game imo. before throwing deep felt like a random throw of the dice. Always seemed to be a DB there so magically help in coverage. Now it feels easier to win those one on ones if you have a good WR. The goofy catch animations seems to be gone also. My RB ran a wheel route, I placed the ball over his outside shoulder, he caught it in stride and ran up the sidelines. I've thrown balls over linebackers head. In current gen they'd rocket jump, but that seems way tuned down on next gen. Gameplay def took a step forward. Hopefully they stick with it and improve everything now. It's a toss up with EA.

This is a very solid video, I think it’s a very common practice for EA to under delivery on what they sell, We can go back to madden 06 and madden 25 and see how they marketed those games for next gen. It’s literally a bunch of half truths with EA on what Madden is capable of.

Your not gonna see much difference with the ps5 for at least 6 months to a year when developers start making games that are more optimized to take advantage 0f the next generation hardware. But you still have scalpers and people robbing trucks getting robed for a stupid game console fuckin sad 😥

I don’t see why jumping to next gen should help the players movements? Current gen can do that but EA kept it out of current gen to call it an ”improvement” such a lazy company
