On the read option identifier. As a QB, your first job is to identify the defensive player that you have to read. The the QB has the option to give it to the RB or keep it. Hence the name "read option." But Madden identifying the "defender to read" isn't a bad thing because that is exactly what the QB sees/does before the play starts. He identifies the read man. However, this is against the CPU. If you play against a human sitting next to you it won't show you making that better.

Definitely noticed that in NCAA. If you're w/in a yard of the first down marker they give it to you almost all the time. Rarely see 3rd or 4th and inches

about the read option, the read indicator will probably be a feature you can turn on and off. the thing i hate the most is that they still didnt update the player pictures

4:40 Ravens O-Line actually gave Flacco a lot of time to throw against the 49ers D-line thats something you didnt see last year.

Just like in NCAA they made the run game a lot more open in terms of play selection. I feel like breaking big runs won't happen very often, but on both the stretch run and dive plays you ran you got a solid 4-5 yards, which in my opinion means that run heavy schemes will be pretty hard to stop since the offense has a consistent way of obtaining at least 3 yards. It should make 3rd and 4th downs a little easier on those who don't like to air it out.

it takes a minute to get used to the lack of pass lead. but the physics are really good. i noticed you can really bullrush with d linemen and drive blockers all the way back into the QB. its cool, it causes a lot of disruption.

What I want to see is computer defensive line against human defensive line. In Madden's previous, I played against a team where all their DE's got injured, and the punter ended up rushing the qb because of madden's quirky system. The punter ended up beating Donald Penn and getting a sack because of how cheesy the computer AI was when boosting the computer defensive line stats. But god forbid you have average rushers, they never get in. I'd like to see if that has continued, or fixed it.

The game looks nice, I will be definitely getting it. I'm a defensive minded guy and I really appreciate the fact that they are giving the computer a chance to react on the directional throws versus on madden 13 if u throw a directional pass on a fade route towards the inside u pretty much would catch which is thought was unfair to a defensive player especially with great coverage.

Things I like.. O-line is more interactive, you can get pressure by just using your front 4/3, ball hawks been turned down, OMG the running system is beautiful.. Especially on read option hand offs only thing I don't like us M2M gets blown & zone is still slightly ineffective

go to gameplay options and change the setting called Min Speed Threshold. When the setting is changed to a lower setting, it makes the faster players faster in correlation to slower players. lineman shouldn't be able to run down faster players. Maybe start with a setting of 25 and see how it plays there.

the game is okay although i do have a problem with it. why is it that qbs cant outrun defensive lineman when getting out of the pocket. with russell wilson i kept gettin chased down by bj raji when i attempted to escape the pocket. i also couldnt outrun anyone with lynch. i couldnt beat defensive lineman to the edge. they need to fix the speed rating.

I really hope they fix the look of the helmets and player faces. They look super cheesy in the demo. Helmets sit too high on top of head and the faces just look bad. I know it's a work in progress, but if they leave that untouched, they'll forfeit my sale.
