Thanks for this info. I'm one of those guys that loved 2k5 and hated that EA got an exclusive license and blah, blah, blah.....But, I think EA may have got it right this time and actually released a worthy product. I have not purchased a Madden game since 2005, but I'm excited about this one and have already pre-ordered it from Amazon. What's so amazing about this is that players can come OUT of retirement. Even players that weren't on the game to begin with. I saw a screenshot that was announcing Kurt Warner coming back into the NFL. When I saw that my jaw literally dropped. Connected Careers is the best thing that happened to Madden since the Tony Bruno show was introduced. Heck we might even see Brett Favre come back.

What I really want for superstar mode, is for it to go back to the feel of madden 08's feel, like u get fan mail, and letters from ur mom, u have interviews and u have to sign an agent, stuff like that which really make u feel like ur there... I think they might do somethin like that here

I'll try my best to answer. You can play this mode offline OR online. When you pick a player (or create one OR use a former legend like Barry Sanders), you only play as THAT player through his entire career as normal, there are some big differences that make this a lot better than the old superstar. You can also retire that player and use another player (or coach) without having to quit. So if you get tired of your QB by 2017 you can retire him and pick a WR and it will still be 2017.

superstar mode is just fancy word for combining francise and superstar. Basically you go superstar mode and from there choose play either as a gm of team(francise mode) or player (superstar). The difference is that you will have goals that when completed goals will help either team or player. In a rpg the world revolves around your character, so same concept is being applied where game focus more on team/player and make it less generic.

Or even 22 v 22. While offense or defense is on the sideline those players can go into a "sim" mode that allows those players to chat, plan plays, and relay strategies while watching their teammates.

no, it's still in the game. they just made it so that you can stop playing as a player and switch to playing as a coach. basically superstar and franchise are just put together in a bigger more exciting package. hell you can play an online connected careers league where one person is playing as a coach (controlling a team and everything that happens to it) and another can play as a runningback so the coach will need to gameplan to stop the runningback... you know? sorry if it's confusing...

this is superstar mode also you either choose to be a coach or a player if you choose a coach then you control the whole team via franchise .if you choose a player you only control that player via superstar..hope this helped

This sounds amazing. I hope players can actually get in trouble like they do in real life. A perfect example is micheal vick. Or if they have certain players that work great together. Or even conflict with each other. I hope the backgrounds arent lame and there wont be a lot of repeatable players. Like in 07 when every top 5 pick was a LE or a RE. I also hope they fix the draft unlike in 12 where 3rd rounders can come up a 85 overall and a first round projected player comes out as a 45.

Yes, on the online leagues that is. Have you played My Player 2k12? You know how they draft your guy with a little mini - story before it? It's almost the same thing, but times two. If there are no head coaches in your online league, then I'm sure it'll just be a computer doing it, but you're gonna be playing online against other superstars... I can't wait for that, since Madden 06 I've always had a Corner superstar, and I can't wait to play against other people's WR's!

Look up connected career mode. You can be a coach meaning you control the entire team (playing the games, signing free agents, drafting players, etc.) It's not just restricted to playing as one guy.

There will be some wonky animations as with any physics engine, but there are 3 things here. 1.) A physics engine with crazy stuff is better than seeing the same animations that predetermine things 2.) The physics engine is better built than Backbreaker and has animation support meaning more fluent plays and less silly ones. 3.) this is the first year. They said they couldn't get everything they wanted in it as it's tough, but there it's still there. I'm happy it's there i'll take silly stuff :P

i think overall the mode will succeed but the fact that they pretty much threw franchise out, which i understand is still available but u just pick a coach but its still not gonna have the franchise feel. its gonna be more like ur a coach and taking him threw his career instead of running an organization

I probably started over, over 300 different times with the Bears in Madden 12 Franchise Mode because it either glitched up or I just got bored with it (mostly glitched). Hopefully this one will be better. I have no idea why but Madden is like that one terrible restaurant you always go to but no matter how many times you go back it just seems to get worse. Hopefully this year it will be different. But I am sorta pissed that they removed "Franchise mode" and redone it.

They did, you can actually be released against your will now. Plus now you have to work for your starting position, so if you're a backup runningback for like 4 years and only put up 1300 yards in all those years, then you're gonna be cut.

I'm hoping for good things but I think it may take them another year or so to incorporate the infinity engine and not have a lot of weird animations. What I mean by that is yeah what they are showing looks good but so did Backbreaker's animations but in the actual game their were still quite a few awkward animations which I think could be the case this year as EA is smart enough not to show bad animations if they exist.

No draft classes will not be in Madden 13. But from the sounds of Career Connected you will be able to bring your player into the game via create-a-player and chose a team to play on.
