The special teams challenge unlocked some old memories of the PS2 Maddens 07-11ish years. Using regular defense and audible to FG Block Safe Man would usually force CPU to audible to a pass play. Even if they were kneeling out the clock.

You can tell you're having so much fun doing this, it's infectious Playing in crazy ways like this really shows up how many elements of this game just pretend to give the appearance of how things work irl rather than trying to actually simulate or recreate anything in real time. The second you don't do what the game is expecting, it really can't keep up the illusion of 'reacting' at all. Not that anybody thought any different to this about Madden anyway, but still

Hey Drewski, lob passes are easier to catch than touch passes, which are easier to catch than bullet passes. That's why the O-Linemen kept dropping those passes from Brett in the first game, their catching is too low for bullet passes

I like to put myself actually in the series as a fan. Imagine being an Aviators fan. Every week your offense either puts up 400 passing yards or only throws to one person the whole game. Or you finally get the money to get a ticket to a game just to see the defense only lining up in punt block the whole game. Would be so taxing on the fanbase 😂 i love it!!!

In regards to sliders. I think they dont exactly work how we think. I was looking at a reddit for NCAA 14 recommendations on penalty sliders and instead of changing how often penalties are called it actually changes how the players act which may result in more or less penalties.

For example if you increase holding slider, the players will hold blocks longer but obviously that will potentially result in more holdings.

The special teams not scoring has been a thing for a long time. If you sim a season, there will almost always be more total TDs than what the game says is scored. Or sometimes you will have a TE with TD that no QB accounts for. Or sometimes a QB with a TD no receiver accounts for. All because they are fake field goal/punts that a special teamer either throws or catches the TD

I've watched a lot of your videos and I noticed you throw bullet passes every single pass. You don't have to hold down the button to throw every time. If you tap it you can loft it and throw softer.
