Hey buddy I know this has been asked a hundred times before but what was the city of fort Walton Beach's grievances with the park? I know there's two sides to every story, I'd love to hear your side. Thanks for keeping the BMX love alive.

The main grievance they had was the city wanted to get rid of all independent contractors on city property. They struggled to validate that with me because the park was doing very well on its own. The last 3 years the city had a zero balance on the park's expenses, where I provided and paid for every expense to operate it. They tried to claim that the ramps weren't up to 'code' even though I had it all insured with a 2 million dollar policy, and the only ramps that didn't make this 'code' were the ramps they originally bought that were falling apart. They put up no treated wood right onto a cement pad which just sucked up moisture and they just rotted out. The main thing was the P&R Director didn't like extreme sports as he was the high school quarterback. Probably had a girlfriend stolen by a surfer or skater.
