@@12Legendary12 because old maddens were just good. New maddens lack all the good things the classics had removed for brain dead greedy reasons. As for being a kicker, I only did it a couple times but it’s more rewarding to end a game in the final seconds on a game winning 40+ yd field goal.

This was my most played madden of all time. 06 was my first but I wasn't all in on it like I was in 07. I totally forgot about some of this stuff, like the card book. I can't even remember if I played the superstar mode or not. After watching for a minute I remember superstar mode. I remember those terrible drills haha. I forgot this is what video games used to look like, and we thought it couldn't get much better

06 had this dope franchise mode where you beat legendary teams. Then you have to beat superpowered teams who would use cheats against you all the time. It was so challenging but rewarding when I was 11. I spent so many hours climbing the tower.

2003, 2005 and 2007 are my most played years of Madden. 2003 was my first, but it's hard to go back to without the features of 07. 07 is by far my favorite as well.

Fun story I made a QB in NCAA 07 and imported him. Won the Heisman all 4 years and was a 99 overall. Madden made me a 70 overall and made my black QB white. He was a dual threat but they took all my athleticism. I got drafted by the Browns. Was automatically made starter. Had an AWFUL rookie season throwing only like 10 TDs and a 20 INTs. Finally unlocked the workouts and grinded them until I got my overall up to like 85. Kept demanding trades tanking my reputation to no avail. All the teams I got offers from were worse than the Browns somehow. Ended up extending with the Browns. Played for them for like 10 years winning a Super Bowl in my final contract year.

I’ve always told people this was the best madden to date, it had the hit stick on defense and the juke stick? something just like it on offense to make crazy plays. Players had special abilities, you would check to see if your name was in the newspaper, create players/teams and put them in a tournament play or sim it. The cards were so innocent, before EA realized they could milk every player on ‘Madden ultimateteam’.

I had this game for the Wii, and the motion controls were super fun. I spent so much time playing this game's Superstar mode. Upgrading your apartment, getting into the performance center, seeing the new art you got every time you got another achievement. The most fun of any Madden game I've ever played.

I did go to the PFHOF in 2018. We went for the introduction of Brian Dawkins getting inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2018 class! Along with Ray Lewis and Urlacher. Such a great day, one I’ll never forget 🙌🏻

I went to the NFL HOFame 3 months ago on NFL draft day . It's truly a beautiful sight. Took pictures of all the Giant HOFamers. They have walls of summaries from the 1920's to present time. Also got to see Von Millers SB worn Jersey and Cleats. If you never went, you need to see it at least once. Hopefully I can see Cooperstown at some point of my life.

these old school madden games have a thing called precision passing where you can angle your throws by moving the left stick in the direction you want according to the throw strength as well so that's why the passing drill is as hard as you made it

I haven’t been to the pro football HOF but madden 07 and ncaa 07 had some of the best features when it comes to games like this it is so unique to the many possibilities you can make for your career. Also if you play NCAA 07 and import the player you can get a better agent faster than normal

With a memory engine editor you could probably force a custom playbook in superstar mode for madden 07 as you can with the gamecube. Right now im playing a scheme where it rotates me between FS, CB and an in the box SS in a custom playbook for madden 08.

Bengal, I remember playing Madden 06, of which the 07 version was basically a continuation, on my PC. Those training/workout sessions were such a pain! As a complete novice at Madden, I finally Yahoo searched for a save game editor so I could make my Superstar rookie roughly competitive at the start of the season. Playing with mouse and keyboard didn't make those training sessions any easier! I think Madden 06 was the first version with the QB vision cone. If you don't have a high enough awareness for your QB, his cone of vision would resemble a laser beam. Has there been much lobbying amongst the fanbase for a return of the QB cone of vision since it was dropped? Madden sure has changed in the past 16 years. - sj

Currently playing a franchise mode In Madden 08 and I can't go back to the new ones 😭😭😂🤷‍♂️ the games just feels so in depth but simple at the same time. For anyone else wishing for some nostalgia I recommend either dolphin 🐬 (GameCube emulator) or pcsx2 (PS2 emulator) dolphins my personal fave but both actually let you play with friends online 🤷‍♂️😅
