I can't really imagine either. I grew up with three younger siblings and my parents had their main car from when I was 4 to when I was 27. We were always allowed to eat in the car and the most cleaning it ever saw on the inside was a vacuum and it never looked anywhere close to this car. Granted, the seats were grey but light enough it would have shown any significant amounts of filth. The most likely scenario I could see for seats like these would be workers in greasy overalls, every work day for a decade or more.

There is the basic not cleaning it out but the seats are a combo of stuff being spilt on the seats and not completely cleaning it off, that helps dirt stick to the seats since most kids drinks have sugar in them. The rest is without a doubt body oils and sweat, Im betting it does not have working air conditioning. Seat covers are your friend especially when the air does not work.

I would absolutely love for you to detail all of my cars. I thought they had just bought the car from Facebook marketplace, but they both said the kids 8, and 6 year olds dirtied it up. Obviously, they choose not to even try to keep a clean car, nor do they teach their children to clean up behind themselves. Because we where really poor growing up. My grandma would always tell me there is absolutely no excuse for being dirty or lazy. You can get soap for a dollar and water is free. Depends on where they lived some housing includes water in the rent due to the city being able to put a lien on a property for non payment of the water bill. People don’t pay the difference if they use more or less water so basically they look at it like they don’t pay for it.

I don’t know how they felt comfortable sitting on those nasty ass seats. I remember my son threw up in my car once. I didn’t care that it was 1am in the morning and cold as shit. I was out there cleaning that shit up. If you saw me through your window, you’d swear I was cleaning up crime evidence. I just couldn’t bring myself to just leave it there and let it marinate in my seats 🤢. Needless to say my car’s new car smell was gone that night, but at least I was able to get the throw up smell out.

I quite seriously don't understand how seats even get to such a state. My grandfather had a work car with grey textile seats which was one of the dirtiest interiors I have seen personally: never cleaned, dirty clothes, wet clothes, saw dust, regular fine gravel dust, tools, screws and paper notes everywhere, and the seats STILL looked like a sterile hospital operating theater compared to this. How does one do this? And really kids is not an excuse because you control your kids, tell them what they can or can't to and you're supposed to teach them.

Literally! Have a family friend with 2 kids (love them to death) who had a car that was TRASHED, couldn't even see the floor. McDonald's bags, cups, bottles, grocery bag, food, toys, etc. everywhere. Ended up getting a newer car and said she's not gonna trash it. 2 weeks later. Trash and food everywhere. Got the car towed and got another. Stepped in the car and once again, trash everywhere. Just got my first car a month or so ago and hasn't gotten nearly as dirty as her car.

It's the same thing that happens when you leave wet clothes in the washer for several days. They probably had a water leak in the car and didn't notice it because they didn't drive it much, which is understandable considering we were all on lock down for an entire year.
