I had a friend/coworker who's car was disgusting. His parents had an older car that couldnt safely be taken on the highway and they were taking a trip, so they switched cars with him. Their car was even worse, so I knew where he got it from 🤢. Years of fast food ground into the carpet. When he'd give me rides to work, I'd put (or rather, manually push, by using palm-traction) the window down bc it smelled so bad. One of those Aztecs (car model not the culture)

@@chillfactory9000 remember, the task is the task. Nothing more. There's a tendency to treat everything as though our essence is facing some sort of cosmic judgement. What we're really facing is the burden of our own shame. Shame stems from worthlessness. Worthlessness stems from failure. Failure stems from not trying. And not trying stems from procrastination. The solution is not about motivation (external/chance/finite), it's about discipline (internal/deliberate/generative). But the key to discipline is to understand that procrastination isn't a matter of attention - it's a matter of emotion. When presented with a task you know you should do, you assign it huge importance (cosmic judgement), and because of that you naturally hesitate, which your emotional mind interprets/anticipates as yet another failure to follow through, which triggers self-hatred, which leads to denial and avoidance - ie procrastination. This then creates a feedback loop where self-hatred, avoidance, and inflated importance/urgency all spiral out of control. The greatest threat is when your brain offloads this process to your subconscious as "important task" = "avoidance", thereby obscuring the underlying sense of worthlessness, subsequent self-contempt, and further subsequent penance in the form of willful self-sabotage (in other words: I feel worthless so I hate myself so I'll give myself a reason to hate myself by throwing away my life by never trying - it's actually a perverse form of indulgence if you think about it). Effective discipline comes down to breaking the task down into its actual components and looking at them realistically by removing your emotional self-image from the equation.

No. It's a good sign when you're scrubbing something down that it's visually "getting worse" because that means the stain that was deeply embedded (and thus faded) is going up to the surface for extraction.

If the stain is traveling, that means it's coming out. If you can break it loose from where it was and move it, you can remove it.

I personally think the reason he cleaned the underside of the carpet, just spells out to me that the filth went all the way through the carpet, which is what was needed if that were the case. People as filthy as this should succumb to some virus they left brewing in their car, because the state of that was absolutely disgusting. I probably would have burnt all of the carpeting and seats, just to be safe I didn't contract anything, because I don't own a hazmat suit, but that's just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a hair stylist👋🏼 I believe your purple stain is purple shampoo. Which is why it came out fairly easy and the color was so rich. Purple shampoo is meant to take out the brass/orange color after bleaching your hair.

I did work as a “detailer” in a car repair shop, but that was more like a standard wash of the outside and a courtesy vacuum, no extractions, stain removal, power washer, didn’t even have the tools to remove the seats and fully get underneath them

It's just not financially practical. I guarantee this kind of fee is well over 1000 dollars to get done.
