Wow this is a great song choice for Maddi! She is so bold. Not as good as Kelly Clarkson as she had the best version of this song I've ever heard. But Maddi gave another fantastic performance. That was stunning! I think she is being strategic showing us that she is not just a rapper. She is also a singer too. If you're trying to get votes, then you have to be strategic. She did exactly that. She was really rocking out and having fun. She should easily sail through. She should save the rap song for the finale.

When I first thought of that song, I instantly thought of Bishop Briggs who performed it on The Masked Singer as Medusa, and Bishop did an outstanding job on that song! Madi did a great job on that song, started off a bit shaky but pulled it off ever since!

I’m torn because I don’t feel this was her best performance, but it still felt good enough to get her through to the top 9. There was a little bit of the disconnect between how in the pocket she was at the beginning with the slow start to the more rock oriented half.

Dan thought it "such a powerful performance and by the way that song was by Olivia Rodrigo because of her. The beginning was not that good but she regained control of the stage after the first chorus. I like Maddi, I really do. The thing is this song doesn't help that much. I dunno. Maybe a pop ballad or a classic soft pop song. But this is probably the path she wants to follow as an artist. I have to say I love her tone tho. Such a stylised tone. Almost as stylised as Nàdege's.
