I went to the first house I could get to and in tears told them my story with all the bruises on my face. She pretended that she blacked out because she didnt wanted to be responsable for her actions, but she had no way of knowing that Nate would almost kill Tyler because of it, at this point in the story he hasn’t been violent to her yet - although the fact that she lie to protect herself really foreshadow the power dynamic in their relationship. For the strangling part it was part of Nate's plan, she did agree to do it but its mostly because she's trapped in this relationship and I'll say it again, the idea came from him. Not saying she's perfect but you can't really blame her for him being a sicko.
