As a lover of tap dancing😍. She made ever pull back, wing turn etc effortless and kept her energy and smile up the whole time! It’s hard unless you really love tappin!😂🙌🏼 I miss performing soooooo much!!! Dance was my life! I still have my tap shoes. Might have to put them in. Once a dancer always a dancer! ❤️

to be fair, she did actually get several lyrical pieces that had different moves, transitions, musical moments/nuances and skills than the rest of her routines (ex : the woods, the people’s choice, the mannequin, lizzie borden, fool me once, leaving berlin, reflections, quiet voices, disappear, drowning, helen keller, etc.). i feel like non-dancers just think any turn, kick, leap, etc. looks the same. 😭 it takes much longer to practice and perfect tap as well.

It's more than incredible! Who was her tap instructor? She's phenomenal and tap is too underrated in the world of dance. This takes you back to Gene Kelly, Donald O' Connor, Shirley Temple... But in those movies, the taps often had to be pre-recorded to be heard. Maddie is so good you hear every precise tap and it's on time. As is the rest of her choreography and facial expression

I think it is just too hard to turn out quality numbers in those genres every week. Tap solos take a while to choreograph and learn and they don't always win because there might only be one specialised tap judge on the panel, if that. Music theatre needs a unique concept and choreography, which again takes a while to choreograph and learn. With lyrical solos they could use the same steps and just change the order of them and use different music and lyrical was fashionable so it often won- and Maddie's character was meant to win most times.

Unfortunately, Rising Star Talent doesn't have videos from that far back anymore. They used to have it at 2016 when my friend contacted them awhile back, but they don't have it anymore. The only way we can find the solo is A&E or Lifetime, who should have the videos.

Unfortunately, no. She performed it at DEA Las Vegas and DEA Pittsburgh, but the 2011 dances we purchased (Pittsburgh) is when she performed it as title holder. They don't include dances when they perform as title holders. For DEA 2012 dances, in this case, we won't have Maddie "Quiet Voices" solo and Stephanie's "The Scarlet Letter" solo :(

I know! They adapted some dances shortly on the show such as "Kiss Kiss" and "Glam", but not this solo. It could possibly be because there is no song from their music libraries that could be associated with airmail or USPS. It's also harder to find music from a certain music library that fits good with tap routines, especially with this concept of a solo.
