This was the first day in my life video that genuinely looks just like a day in my life, right down to the breakdowns and killing time with the car wash/vacuum lol Also, seeing you get a little vulnerable there for a minute almost had me cryin. I don't think we've ever seen that part of you, really appreciate you leaving that bit in... I hope you're doin alright.. love u mads

This cheered me up so much! I live by myself and it gets really lonely sometimes and seeing you talk about your feelings and being vulnerable gave me so much comfort because we all have those days and it's just nice to hear someone else share those same feelings too. Doing everything yourself and trying to keep yourself happy by doing these silly little things is so real. Also, this has to be the most realistic day in my life kind of videos, thank you for sharing this!

We're the same age n I live alone too and I completely relate on "the breakdown" part and the having to rely on yourself for things. Just wanna let you know you're not alone and you are loved! I look forward to every vid of yours and just hope you know so many people love you 💖

Though we love your sense of humor, your vulnerability is absolutely beautiful in this video..I think it resonates with a lot of us experiencing these kind of waves of emotion. Thank you for this. Thank you, for you. We love you, and appreciate you. ❤

wanna say I LOVE your vlogs, I haven't moved away from my abusive parents yet and seeing you living independently in your own apartment gets me so excited for when I can do that so I love just seeing you go about your life idk your videos are such a cozy comfort place for me! The breakdown was a mood, I've always been alone most of my life socially and have become SO used to dealing with my emotions by myself and believing everyone around me would be burdened by me opening up and now that I've tried to be more social and have people i can rely on its so weird knowing they want to know if I'm okay and they Need to know bc our lives are that intertwined and I'm like oh shit bc I just am so not used to it like I'm so used to holing up inside of myself and not having anyone who cared enough or knew enough to check on me so I totally feel you. Especially bc of my home situation i have a lot of crisis times where like i should be calling my friends and asking for help but i just feel so much like a burden that i just deal with it myself and tell them about it later and then feel bad lmao but im trying to work on it Basically I think we all really appreciate how open you were on this vlog and you're not alone fr 😭

I felt your breakdown, I am also not a number 1 to anyone. I know it's not possible to be happy all the time, and its part of life to feel down or lonely or unhappy, but the bad times always feel sooo bad and isolating. Muffins always help though
@nonamejellyfish25712 жыл бұрын
You're not the only one dealing with breakdowns. When I have one I usually just let myself cry about it &/or pray to God about it. At the end of the day, He's in control & things will get better 💜

Hey, Maddison. Love the vid. Thank you for showing a side of humanity that people rarely see. I know it can be really vulnerable sometimes but the fact that you had the courage to take your car to a coin op car wash and wash your car yourself really resonated with me. I too, take my car to a coin op car wash and find that it is more effective than sending it through an auto wash which can strip wax and possibly damage the paint. After washing my car, I also wax my car by hand and then buff it with a microfiber towel afterwards. Unfortunately, this causes static on the paint and the next day my car is covered in dust as a result, but I guess that's how things go. I also really appreciated that you vacuumed the interior of the car. I don't always get the chance to do that myself, but when I do, I remove the car mats and also vacuum the area of the floor that the car mats cover since there can be debris there. Anyways I think I've gone on too long about this subject. I'm sure car care was the exact point of the video. Just kidding, I was being sarcastic. Come to think of it, car care could be the subject of your next video. I'm being serious about that one. Or visit Buc-ee's and do a 24hr challenge there.

For the friend thing, feeling like you aren’t someone’s #1 might be an indication that you need new friends lol For a long time, I would settle for friendships that I didn’t really like/feel a connection in because I thought they were “nice enough to hang out with so it’s fine.” But I always felt forgotten and like I was pushing it to hang out with them. They would pick people over me ALWAYS. I decided that’s not the kind of friends I want. I want people who will be honest with me and who are excited to hang out with me as I am. I think it is good to have a variety of friends (because one person can’t do everything lol) but if you feel forgotten/brushed over, listen to that. Also, if you’re feeling down, your real friends would want to hear about it! Don’t feel bad about telling them when you’re sad because they want to be there for you! If they don’t/make you feel bad when you tell them stuff, they are not the friends for you. I think you also gotta ask yourself if you’re friends don’t like you, or if you don’t think you deserve your friends to like you… and then explore that. A big reason I also couldn’t except good friendships in my life is because I couldn’t accept that I wanted to be loved or that I deserved it. I felt like a burden - which is not true! Or maybe I was to those people because they were the wrong people for me! Keep seeking fulfilling friendships, and you’ll find them :)

Just want to encourage you with what you were saying during your "breakdown." I'm 34 years old and single, and even though I'm not looking for marriage, I know how hard it is to be a single person in a world of married couples. The feeling that no one else sees you as their #1, and constantly feeling out of place in contexts where there are couples, it's real! Glad you're able to be vulnerable about your feelings and find joy in each day!

You should see what “The Birds” looks like at our local single screen vintage cinema called “The Astor” theatre over here in Melbourne, Australia. I think you’ll be quite impressed. I related so much to this! I have said that exact thing about not being anyone's number 1 priority! It can feel lonely and a little scary at times. Personally at times therapy and or medication has been extremely helpful as well. I begin to struggle around this time of year as the days get shorter/darker. Just wanted to say if you ever wanted to explore medication, etc. it might be just the added edge you need. You could try just a very low dose and it doesn't have to be forever either. Just thought I'd share my experience. Love your videos and I hope you're doing great today!

Totally get where you are coming from. I'm turning 25 in November and was snapchstting my out of state friend and literally talked myself into a breakdown. I realized, just like you said, I'm not anyone's main choice. I have acquaintances and people I go to school with or work with but not "friends". No one to surprise me with a birthday cake that'll say, "I'm too old for Leonardo Di Caprio" or wanna go watch movies. It sucks but can't let myself get stopped from enjoying my day from hyperfocusing on that fact. Thanks for making my day much better whenever I watch your videos

Living alone is so rough. I truly don't think it's natural for most people, humans are an incredibly social species, yet in the US we have this expectation of near total "independence". It's not weak to be lonely. As isolating as being single can feel, from my own experience, I felt a lot less sad about being single when I was living with family and got to see friends regularly. I think part of my own desire for romance was a desire to simply not be alone, because as an adult, it almost feels like you're only "allowed" to live with and rely on a romantic partner. My practical advice is to get a pet and try to see friends and family as much as possible.
