@RipAlexx I respect that's your opinion, but if I'm being real, this is just a hobby for me, something to keep me sane during all these lockdowns and everything else going on at work. I'm a nearly 30 year old guy talking about comics in his spare bedroom, that doesn't exactly scream that I was popular in high school, so cringe is kinda my default. If people wanna' judge an hour long video on the first 2 seconds, I'll live with that, and I think the content itself should do the majority of the talking. There's countless great channels out there, and it's important to have something unique, even if it isn't liked by everyone. Having something bark at me was what stopped me doing something stupid four years ago, it's my mantra, it's my way of charging myself up and forgetting all the flaws of just being 'Marcus'. It's what me and my training partner used to do to psyche ourselves up, before he passed away last year. There's enough content on KZbin for people to watch, but I'm just here to have a good time. I can improve on editing, scripting, presentation etc. but without the WOOF WOOF, what's even the point? That's the way I see it, but everyone has their opinion. Hopefully you can still find something you do enjoy watching, my dude!

@Declan Mooney I appreciate the support mate, and I'm just glad people are giving the videos a chance beyond the first two seconds. All I wanna' do is have a good time, make the best damn videos that I can. There's enough channels out there so that if someone doesn't like mine, that there's something else for them. Great collection. Glad to see someone else have a large collection in a smaller space too. I do think it helps make purchasing choices easier. If I don't have room. I either have to sell to make space or simply don't get the book. No one wants a library in boxes stacked in a closet.

All the shrinkwrapped books just makes me feel a little better about my own collection. When I started switching things out to HC, I very quickly realised it was a case of buy when you can-because otherwise you’ll pay through the nose. Lots of great books in yours. The one thing I remain quite surprised about is the lack of UK books. Perhaps it’s a generational thing (I’ve no idea how old you are, but you’re way younger than I am), but I wouldn’t be without my 2000 AD stuff-and the Hachette partworks have been a solid way to get most of the classic series in very affordable HCs (despite them not being oversized).

Brother I just found a cure all for the dust jacket issue so that the books can be taken out of the plastic. I left mine in the plastic as well until I had an idea to put contact paper on the shelf. Now the books slide out nice and easy without issues. Try it bro the roll I got was 5 dollars and so far I have done a set of 6 cubes for my standard size books and one set of book shelves I have. The contact paper gives the shelfs a nice shine and a glass like look as well.

I completely forgot they made manga version of the Maximum Ride books. I need to check them out because it they’re anything like the Daniel X manga (I only read the first one, I got the regular books after that) the story should be a little bit different.

Amazing collection !!! So many titles I hope I would collect at some point. I'm in process of completing some sets like IDW TMNT, Transformers, Invincible, etc. and I'm always glad when I see other people having such big bookshelf stacked with quality stuff xDD Just a little suggestion ...keep the camera steady, I know you are wiggling from excitement, I would too !!!

Nice collection mate. Have you experienced your "blocks" from your larger omnis sag? All my fat omnis, the paper blog sags. To combat this i switch them aroung the top of the book is now at the bottom. This is a short term fix. The only option is to lay them on their backs

Thanks P! I did have a bit of an issue with the Batman by Loeb and Sale book, and I know some people put a bit of foam under some of their books which can apparently prevent it! You're right about laying them on their back, but I just can't bring myself to do it! Thanks for watching the video mate! WOOF WOOF!

I found I even have this with my Peanuts HCs. Wasn’t thrilled when I made that discovery. At some point, I’ll be doing the foam cut-outs trick, I think.

@@Yalbou The irony for me is I shifted to HC primarily for durability reasons: my TPBs were warping badly on the shelves. I guess every book type has its problems. (Even digital has longevity issues, since we have no idea which formats will exist a decade from now.)

I’ve heard you defend a few times about your books still being in cellophane. Dont. The omnibus collector has to buy when they can get them and will read them when they get to it. We can’t buy Omnibuses when we are ready to read them they will be OOP. We also can’t read three omnibuses a week. Well, I can’t. Never feel the need to defend yourself against the jackals and hyenas.

can someone explain something that should be obvious to me but isnt. Why is the Batman Gotham by Gaslight Deluxe edition loved so much? I enjoy the story as much as the next guy although I do feel the first half is stronger than the second but it's just strange to me to see my local comic shop and online relater sell out in -5 seconds where tons of other fantastic books sit there for months on end. Nothing super important, just find it a little odd.

Its not unwatchable, you've got to hold the camera manually with your hand while moving around, not standing still on a tripod like other videos. Omars haul video was similar.
