speaking as a massive Laura kinney fan thats go to the effect of collecting a great deal of her histoty and titals that feature her even those that dont make sense for her charater or shes barely a foot note in (looking at you IVX) her joining the time displaced young xmen, dosnt really make a lot of sense or fighting against her father. sure they've not always seen eye to eye. but i can only think of one or two times they come to blows. once when she was sucidal and the other time when logan was possesed by a demon the last thing Laura was in before this was avangers academy. honestly decent series and it was something new for Laura to do when she joined in the later half of its life span. and i wish it would have gone longer, i maintaime a deep desire for Laura to get out of the black hole of missry the xmen have been stuck in for the last 20 years. Eseaplisy after/ during Karoka if you tilt your head, you could maybe say that Laura would have being annoyed at her dad for using her a the token xmen in the avangers school, and that combined with her 180 charater shift that bendis created could maybe explain it but. i doubt even mr fantasic could strech that far as for the Laura and scout 'moment' i cant say its much more than that becouse it lasts like all of two issues and they never even have anything aproching a rommaniic moment if you dont count the 'click bait' issue art as young scout gos of to hang out with the star jammers and Laura hooks up with warran soon after. i will say while i never shipped young scout and Laura, a romance or friendship could have being intresting as when Laura first joined the xmen, scout did go to bat for Laura. if his past self remembered her her furutre self. he would have had for kowlage of who shed become. ironicly if i recall correctly when the time displaced young xmen did finnaly go back to the past, its revealed that scout is the only one that remembers as parently. adult scout had being playing dead since IVX but onto my thoughts on the time displaced young xmen, they outstayed their welcome if they ever had any. i know likly they were only brought in to the books to tie into the 'foxx' first class continuity that was just started to focus on jean, beast, scout and others at the time but i have always felt they were a mistake. the 2010s should have ether being focused on reintroducing 'new xmen team' that got shafted in the mutant messiah arc or created a new team, or anything else. one of the xmens biggest issue is they only seeminly care bout the orgional 5, giant sezed and sometimes new mutants

Funny that Liefelds net worth is listed around $2M. He gets 3% on all Deadpool sales...merch, comics, movies...from the last film alone he made $40M...and I see a lot of Deadpool shirts in public.

How come the past versions were teens in their 60s when the present versions look like young adults or early middle aged in the 2010s instead of being in their late 60s? Also aside from the sentinals, anti-mutant racism hadn't become a thing until the 80s so how would the 60s crew even be familiar with that?
@bthawizardd23 сағат бұрын
Marvel is on a sliding timeline scale so even though the comics were originally set in the 60s it moves up with modern times so they were from 1999/2000 at the time

Ok-ayyy i forgot bendis wrote this didn't care much for bringing the original to the present but i think/thought cyclops having some aspect of apocalypse's essence inside him was what made him a bit of a edge-lord and i thought Magneto's white suit came during the hickman era also i always liked rick leonardi and Chris baccalo they had that Carmine infanto-y style to their art but it was okay also uncanny avengers always felt like a elesworld story rather than part the greater marvel continuity......

I really like the alternate reading of the scene of Iceman's gay reveal: Jean Grey's sinister technique to psychically make you gay is way funnier and somehow makes more sense than Iceman being in the closet retcon.

The idea of the young X-Men being in the present was not terrible. Having Scott and Warren see their future selves is an interesting idea. But it went on for too damn long. After Secret Wars, they should’ve been back in the past. Or at the end of Bendis’s run, he put them back in the past. What happened after Secret Wars is not on Bendis, even if his run was meh overall. But when Marvel relaunched post Secret Wars, they set up that Cyclops was dead but the young X-Men were still around. By the end of X-Men Blue, I was so tired of them. Same goes for Old Man Logan. His solo series was fun, especially when he fought Maestro, but I was more than a little happy when I learned about Dead Man Logan. No one believed that Wolverine and Cyclops were dead permanently but it would have been interesting to explore the X-Men without them or Jean. But young Jean was still there. Maybe I’m rambling and not making any sense. I will say, before Bendis’s run I was not a fan of Magik and after reading Uncanny X-Men, she’s probably my favorite female X-Men character in competition with Rogue.

the run is alright but it feel like nothing happens in the run i like the stuff with dick and barbara but it feels like there are no stakes or anything it is a real shame this came from a writer that created injustice year one and understood the character. Also i forgot to mention the idea that nightwing afraid of heights is kind of dumb since he was apart of the flying Grayson but it feels like something that could have been explored through his years of robin.

Wasn't a fan of that hawkeye run, so makes sense I am not much of a fan of this Nightwing run. It is just okay. My faves being rebirth (main run) and Dixons run. Fun video as always and that intro was very clever.

Great ..no Fantastic Intro, I’m a huge Nightwing fan but this run felt like Fanfic to make up for the horrible runs before. However I understand why people like it and I’m always interested in how other people perceive it.

That is the intro of the year😂 Been a busy few weeks, so haven't began Tom Taylor's era quite yet but more time over Christmas, no excuses need to knuckle down hard on my reading and gaming backlog. What I'm thinking is as I collect each std hardcover I'll come back and watch the next part to see if we agree and I'll let you know, a bit like watching a tv series. I wrote to santa saying Marcus doesn't want presents, only a chance to write a gold ranger series. He said sure I'll let Marcus write a beetleborg's comic🥺😐 I'll try again next year.😂 Have a great Christmas mate. :-)
