how do i connect my native instruments maschine in serato studio help

Plug your Maschine up to the computer. Hold shift and Midi on the Maschine. It will only put it in midi mode to use the pads as keys. You can’t use the Maschine hardware like you do in Maschine, in Serato studio.

I've been looking for a new DAW to work out of. While i enjoy Serato Studio, it doesn't gikve me the freedom of Ableton, and ableton is not as user friendly. Any suggestions?

Maschine is everything to me. I would give it a try!

Really depends on what kind of sound you’re going for, too. Use Serato to create a drums / sample arrangement, then dump into Logic / Reason, whatever, for more flexibility. rinse & repeat.

What would you have used the Maschine for in this instance instead of using Serato? I have the MK2 but this workflow seems so much easier using Serato studio. Thanks for the tutorial I'm downloading Serato today!

Oh nice, Maschine does this key thing too. but I understand what you Mean about Sarato studios. A bit more sophisticated when getting samples in to the right key.

Sarah2ill I am not to sure Sarah, I just noticed when I use samples and loops in Maschine 2 they automatically match my songs. Maybe I turned something on without knowing. I know Serato has something called mixed in key which automatically detects the key signatures. I like it, it is a really good feature. Anything that helps to make music making more fun and easy. It is good to learn new things all the time, I feel like I am learning all the time. ☺️👌
