I've owned 5 Lunds over the years. They are the best. My current one is a 1999 Explorer SS and it still looks great. It will outlast me.

I realize Lund and Crestliner are both owned by Brunswick, but Jannene Weller is also in the Crestliner factory video as a Crestliner employee applying graphics on those boats also.

Not trying to sound arrogant, but Crestliner registers few enough boats where they decided to cut back on overhead & move them in to Lunds facilities in New York Mills, MN. I sell these boats for a living & have been in the business for over 20yrs, I assure you, I'm not blowing smoke. *Tight Lines

i dont understand why they would use rivets.... im a huge fan of aluminium boats from Australia and New Zealand, but im not too sure about aluminium boats from America... why not weld them?

Lund may be the top boat manufacturer in the world, so they have done their research. They do weld some models, but mostly rivets are used. I am a Sheet Metal Worker, and I have set 1,000s of rivets. When it comes to Aluminum, both fabrication methods have there advantages. Welded Aluminum can fatigue near the seam and crack, which will travel. Rivets can fail, but usually just at that point. Welding is quick and strong and easy to clean up, thus less drag on the water. Rivets put less stress on the hull. I bought a riveted Lund boat for the durability factor. I should also mention, planes are riveted.

Will Lund “custom build” a boat, eg, no motor or rigging?

I saw on there website that you could order a boat with no engine or rigging but why would you do that? A factory rigged engine I believe carries a better warranty than a dealer or self installed engine. Just my opinion. Plus the dealer where I am ordering my boat recommended to have majority of all components installed at the factory. That way they are tested and covered by the manufacture of the boat.

I bought new lund has one session paint peeling around rivets dealer did some tests everything looks ok .lund not gonna paint boat under warranty because they can't find a problem garbage service i have 3 years warranty for everything and now looks like i don't have it.peope don't buy lund no warranty and bad service.
