The best advice that arises from this excellent video is to make use of a template set so all your useful, go-to plug-ins, etc. is ready. I know that auditioning tons of sounds is another way to do it. But using a template set means you create more music at least in my opinion.

I’ve been seeing it everywhere lately. Other than adding some analog flavor does it have some features/functions that you can get unique utility out of for sculpting sounds? Like where/in what way does it really shine in the process of molding the sounds down for what you’re aiming for?
@jackhammer80614 жыл бұрын
Been seriously contemplating getting it simply because I see a lot of people using it who really know what they’re doing lol but I think I have a really surface level understanding of what it’s real potential is/ why people use it & how it stands out from other similar features in other plugins.
@somnambulantable4 жыл бұрын
@@jackhammer8061 I was looking for something to add some 'crappy cassette tape' vibes to stuff, and this worked great for that. I'm sure there are ways to do a lot of the individual things (noise, wow/flutter, dropouts, etc), but what makes this great is both the combination of all of those lo-fi tape things into a single plugin, but also the interface is great. Surely there's a demo to grab and try. They're having a Summer sale right now, too! :)

Good video, but does anyone else find it odd Abayomi's not using Ableton's own Push as a controller?

Maybe it’s because it’s more of a Live 10 capture/focus rather than Push?? So it can apply more generally... Love my Push2 💜🎧

If ableton cared that much about the push being displayed in the video they could have been like “hey man thanks for promoting our products in videos that will be seen by thousands, here’s a push”

How are you able to track your hardware instruments being locked in time?
@fozbeeMusic3 жыл бұрын
It's very hit or miss for me...I have a lot of hardware and find it can be out timing wise even using an external plug in. .. The main thing is to turn the channel to off...auto or in...create latency. I have an 828 motu .. I wanted to be able to have a lot running in...I assumed it surely is less load on pc as the synths are doing the work...but it can be out timing wise. So I use an external mixer then I ll bounce the hardware down to audio one at a time to avoid latency. ..I find the external instrument plug in OK. ..but it's just as easy to just do it via the channel and I find it is more likely to be OK.

Is The DS-10 plugin the same or similar to ableton drum bus ? Has Anybody here tried the 2 ?
@WurstPeterl4 жыл бұрын

maybe buffer is set really low - on 32 samples you could get quite heavy on CPU very fast
@GuyGamer14 жыл бұрын
@@hallocine Ableton effects aren't hungry? A couple Echo devices murders my 12 core processor. The artist likely has a very expensive (10k+) Mac Pro.
@JohnSmith-pn2vl4 жыл бұрын
@@GuyGamer1 more cores don't help in that regard, only the single core performance counts, per track. more cores allow for more tracks. usually cpu's tend to have lower single core the higher the core count goes, there are exceptions.

He’s very good, but I’m not finding these latest video tutorials very useful for a few reasons: 1) they often use hardware I don’t have, 2) they use a lot of third party plugins which are not free so not everyone can get them 3) they use Ableton features and plugins only available in Standard or Suite version, without mentioning it upfront, so you try to follow a tutorial and you are stuck because you don’t have something. I usually like Ableton mini tutorials and in particular his tutorials, but in this case I’m not happy. Thanks anyway for the effort
