I'm almost surprised we didn't get that iconic panel of Bondrewd firing Sparagmos while looking out of the nest at them. This is definitely the scene where you remember what his status as a white whistle means.

Bondrweds abilities are effing rediculous when you stop to think aboit them, especially the Narehate one. Unscathed from what we can only assume to be terminal velocity, in heavy equipment into a stone floor. Tens of meters of vertical leap. Speed bordering on teleportation. The ability to read consciousness. His own consciousness can't be read due to cartridges. Spiderman nets/swings/grapples Incinerator style weapon without drawback. Possibly Mitty-style immortality. Claws can pierce Reg, (otherwise only observed with turbind-dragond) Has eyes who knows where. (Confirmed with Nanachi, but who knows how many others he could see through) Finally we must recognise him as THE most knowledgeable person when it comes to the abyss, being able to "store curse" in needles, divert the curse into other beings, and lastly the guy had been to Irumyuui and back even before Nanachi escaped. Who knows how far he's went since then. Heck, they might make it to the bottom only to find a Bondrewd there waiting for them.

@@ltloxa1159 i think you left out some bits that make him even more terrifying, aside from borderline immortality his will is so strong that he managed to use an artifact that made a city/town of invalids. Has alot of followers and suits/bodies that he can modify, essentially having his own personal army armed with artifacts. bish is loaded

@@firstnamelastname7298 Depending on what possibilities you accept as truths the extra bodies aren't neccesarily that usefull. The main body is just so op that there is pretty much never a need to take controll of a different one. Basicly they are just squadmembers, exept no real squadmember would be loyal enough to go through with Bondrewds plans...unless he would raise them himself that is. It also doesn't seem like the other bodies are particularly strongly equiped, as Nanachi claimed he no longer had bodies capable of fighting / fighting the main characters. (Difference between translations) The one burning the field was also stated to be one of the strongest, so that explains his speed / apparant teleportation.

@FeatherFiend The Praying Hands dying was Bondrewds plan, though. He put them in Auto mode so that they couldn't defend themselves. And anyways, it's not like they killed them out of hate. Each of the Praying Hands poses a major threat to them, and they are all extensions of Bondrewd. It was necesary for them to have a chance to even attempt to go agaisnt him. I am sad for Gueira (the one who took care of Prushka) since he seemed like an actually neat guy, but ultimately their death was the natural course of action given the motivations of both parties. I don't really see how it "brushes it off", since I don't understand why you're putting so much weight on their deaths to begin with. It was pragmatic.

FeatherFiend I mean they did literally cut off Reg’s arm, which was in fact unwarranted themselves. Not to mention that they literally work for a maddening monster who has caused unrecognisable pain to hundreds of children in chasing after valuable research. I know Bondrewd offered to repair Reg’s arm. But I don’t know about you but that’s like someone who just cut off your arm going “oops sorry lad, I can’t put it back on but I can fix you up a little bit!” The praying hands only seem to be semi sentient due to how they act and how Bondrewd has power over them to influence them. I wouldn’t really say they are entirely of free will. I think killing them is considered a mercy kill.

@FeatherFiend Try to keep in mind that at layer 5 morality has gone so far out the window that the concept itself is meaningless. Think about it this way; Without Bondrewd allowing Prushka to bond with Reg and Riko, subsequently crunching her into a body horror cartridge, and then allowing her to die in front of them, the journey would've ended at layer 5. Nothing more could be done from there. Without their own white whistle, they might've been able to get past the elevator, but it'd end shortly after. However that doesn't change the fact that Bondrewd literally raised a child solely for the purpose of skinning her alive, taking out all of her organs, stuffing her in a box, and using her leftover meat as a vessel to hold the curse when he needs to ascend. Everything's upside down at this point, and it only gets worse from here. You can judge the characters however you want, but the fact of the matter is none of that matters anymore.

In Prushka's memories you see that he's a really normal guy, but all the Umbra Hands we meet in the movie sound like robots (no offense to Reg lol). I think that in-between then and now, Bondrewd used Zoaholic to destroy their souls.
