I live in Europe, vehicles produced in any countries of Europe are more used in by government and citizens if the same country. This is because, higher taxes are placed on imported vehicles. You are therefore compelled to acquire the local product because it's cheaper and easier to repair. All italian ministers , army , police etc use Fiat or Alpha Romeo, not Mercedes or Toyota as their official cars. Public buses, school buses, ambulances etc use the same fiat. The Nigeriann government is so currupt that they show citizens how to live an ostentatious life by going to the end of the world just to buy a car. How many times have Dino melaye modelled Innoson motors alongside his fleet of lambs, chevrolet etc?

Innoson should approach the German manufacturer of Volkswagen Beetle car and get the patent right to manufacture and sell beetle car in Nigeria. It is true Volkswagen car is now defunct and it is not reigning again as the German manufacturer has kept the patent right without selling to countries that needs the right to manufacture the Volkswagen Beetle car. The Volkswagen beetle car was a reigning sensations in the 70s, 80s and 90s. I think if the Volkswagen Beetle car is contracted to be manufactured in Nigeria. It will sell in Nigeria. Kudos to China for manufacturing the electric Volkswagen beetle car in China which they are now using in China and exporting to other countries that are now using electric cars. China knowing that they will face some challenges getting the copyright for the Volkswagen Wagen Beetle Car simply studied the copyright laws and they found a walk around it.
