The one thing I noticed about As Nodt's little flashback was the removal of the German Bible next to his bed. Oh and the music that plays while Rukia is being covered with flies is the same song we hear when Uryu walks onto the stage and is introduced as the new successor.

This was 100% the best episode of this season just like Yamamoto’s fight. Rukia’s bankai really is the most beautiful zanpakuto the Soul Society has ever seen. Truly gave me *the chills*

The voice actor is the same as Kirito from Sword Art Online and Betelgeuse from Re:Zero. Insane, right? The sheer range of this VA is insane, for me personally, he's the most talented VA we have had in Bleach. Well, him and Gremmy, because from what I heard in the poem at the end of the episode, I know his VA and he's just as talented.

Simply a masterpiece! An example of when "sakuga" and "fluid animation" is not needed to create such a work of art. Many times better than the source material. I honestly have massive hope in Taguchi and his team that they will keep delivering god level adaptation. So much looking forward to next week, Kenpachi vs Gremmy has the potential to be one of the most legendary fights in anime history. PS I never really cared for BG9's Schrift (it was clear that some of the Sternritter were going to be handed the short end of the straw), but I found it really funny that it pissed you lol. It is "The Knowledge" as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, lingering on the Äs shots was so well done. Such an improvement and I liked the fight in the manga already! =) Kenny versus G will be awesome, can*t wait for his voiceactor as well. Rukia's Bankai reduces Tempratures around her in a big radius taking the shape of a mushroom cloud....like a giant temperature nuke. It reduces everything around her to absolute zero. Sucking any energy out in a instant. She later has more control over it when she becomes a captain.

The pillar/disc shape is like a giant halo in a way, if you slow it down you can see that she is essentially launching a torrent of cold from her blade straight at As. Which, incidentally, is animated exactly the same way the flames that flow from Yamamoto's bankai are animated. Which, incidentally, was also the sort of bankai that is dangerous even to it's user. Rukia's bankai is basically a completely inverted version of Yamamotos, and that is rather telling as to what it's potential is.

@@storieswithstyle Also now that I think about it, the pillar above her looks a lot like her first dance shikai move, and the forward torrent of condensed absolute zero looks like a giant version of her second dance. Plus, on the topic of being an inverted version of Yamamoto's, his bankai looks ugly while Rukia's looks gorgeous :)

At this point, I'm pretty sure Kubo has specifically not told us 'K' just because he knows we want it so bad... Also, I think Yhwach's conversation with As doesn't necessarily mean he survived the Aushwalen. I think Yhwach just meant that As survived the disease that kept him bedridden. Yhwach's whole schtick is giving parts of his soul out to heal the sick, only to take them back later on. Him appearing to As was likely him just skimming through hospitals in order to find unfortunate souls with innate potential.

I always had the impression that As was a new generation Echt Quincy (Like the Bambies) that was born weak and sick, therefore was impure and like Masaki surived the Auswählen at the cost of his health. That may be the case because we know the only Gemischt that survived was Ishida. Absolutely amazing job from Matsuoka as As Nödt, amazing voice range and Rukia's bankai plus that vocal version of Never Meant to Belong were simply beautiful. 10/10 episode without doubt.

Yeah, might be that he survived it but is obviously on life support, so Ywach was like "well, you are at least staying alive... so why not?" :D Yeah, the music and sound were 11/10 as well, everything was perfect =)

They showed again, for a second time, Shūkei: Hakuteiken in a flashback (the last time even Kōga Kuchiki was there). This means, in the anime, the filler arcs are canon without any doubt. They wouldn't show in screen events that didn't happen.

I think he absolutely does. I just think that his A at that point is just better and more useful in almost every single scenario, so there's no need.

It is directly implied that he gains the skills as well as the knowledge, so for him to not have the Schrifts despite gaining the other abilities seems stupid. However, he also likely doesn't know how to use them as well as the original user. Having the knowledge doesn't mean he can just bring it up at will; he's gaining the memories of all those people after all. So, between Yhwach's 'A' being objectively better than most of the other Schrifts and not necessarily having an eidetic memory, he might not be able to effectively use the abilities he gains.

Its confusing but no. Yhwach does not have access to the shrift abilities of the dead Sternritter he absorbs. Only their matured reiatsu. If Yhwach could use every single schrift ability simultaneously he'd be straight up undefeatable.
