After six months since her last attempt at the souls series it was long overdue that I made my girlfriend play a souls-like. It took her awhile, but she did eventually get through Bloodborne, albeit kicking and screaming at some parts. We both knew that this was a long awaited "sequel" to our Made My Girlfriend Play Dark Souls video, and so we tried to be as thorough as possible and include as much of the girlfriend shenanigans as we could. Hopefully, the longer video doesn't scare you all off!

I've been playing the hell out of Bloodborne recently. I've had it for three years and just last month I beat it. At points I would just restart a new game, however every time I tried to make sure I never gave the little girl her mother's brooch. I ran a skill build my first completion of the game and made sure the little girl was safe. My most recent playthrough with an arcane build I stupidly gave her the brooch. Idk why, I think I just forgot what would happen. I was farming souls and I killed the pig in the sewers and found her bow. I ran back to her window and didn't get a response. I later met her older sister and her mind is broken. I know what she does and I don't want to find her body. In this run I couldn't save any of them and it does make me sad. Don't take off the hat good hunter.

I’m a lifelong gamer whomst is also a girl and my two observations: Bloodborne is an extremely appropriate game to play on your period and two: she managed to actually beat the game which is something I still haven’t managed in any From game until Elden Ring lol. I think that makes her official.

My experience was similar to hers, but i have never ever played any of the souls games before, i saw my brother playing and i liked the aesthetic, i gave it a try and got stuck in the Bloodstarved beast, after learning how to defeat it i felt unstoppable and wanting for more, so i played it, got into the lore and even platinumed it (idk if platinumed is a word but ehh), the process was fun, annoying, tiring, anxiety inducing AND AMAZING, i love this game it's one of my favorites now. Edit: Also imo Ebrietas, Vicar Amelia and the messengers are adorable as fuck and Mergo's Wet Nurse is the prettiest (non human) boss, Ludwig is the only boss that it was actually hard for me to look at because he looks MISERABLE AND IN CONSTANT PAIN

What if i told you she might be a young great one, that did not succeed at ascending like a lot of the rest, and was "left behind", and she is one of kind hearted great ones, which is where the idea that great ones are "sympathetic by nature" comes from. I mean she doesn't attack you unless you attack her. So keep that in mind, and look at her again. See if anything changes.

I suppose pity in itself could create a sense of cuteness, but true cuteness is a constant that while changing in intensity depending on the circunstances, is always present to some extent. The illusion of cuteness that emanates from Ebrietas while she cries isn't one born of her own self, but of external factors, which is why I do not consider her truly cute for it. That being said, I am not disgracing the power of said illusion, while not innate, the immediate cuteness born from circunstances carries with it a strong impact and can be even more apparent than it's natural counterpart. But regardless of it's strength, it isn't fitting to atribute it as a characteristic of the entity herself. Amelia on the other hand might only be presented as a monster with no hints of cuteness when it comes to her circunstances, but her name and fluffy nature possess a natural cuteness that is strong enough to be noticable despite the grim atmosphere, making her deserving of the title of cute, even if only to a low level.

I got my ex into Bloodborne as her first Soulsborne. She had a lot of trobule at the early game, but in the DLC she ended up killing Ludwig, Maria and Orphan on her first try. The only boss she died to in DLC was Living Failures, and she got a bit stuck on them. Guess her biggest fear was being a Living Failure

On repeat playthroughs it gets old really fast when you're trying to rush down Amelia early to get access to the dlc for the fun weapons and then you run out of blood vials. You're basically forced to grind for them or crank out that first chalice dungeon so you can go to cummfpk and buy 600 vials.

there are advantages to blood vials (heals dropping from enemies means that you're more likely to actually have enough heals to make a sincere attempt at a boss when you arrive) but they disproportionately punish people on their first playthrough. They make it much harder to get into the game than is necessary. Experienced players can rinse through the first few bosses in a small number of attempts and won't run out (most likely) but a new player is going to take more attempts and needs the help more. If we ever get a Bloodborne 2 I would love for them to revise blood vials to be a fixed stock of 20 and, like Elden Ring, gain refills through killing a certain amount of enemies or clearing a difficult encounter. Best of both worlds. No grinding for new players while also keeping the momentum through the area up and allowing the player to arrive at the boss with a decent stock of vials for a first attempt.

She never got to see that the little girl's sister dies too, huh? :') I think the reason she got into Bloodborne so easy was because the game is so much faster paced compared to the Souls games, I tried to play Bloodborne ages ago and failed to even beat the Cleric Beast, barely even got to it... But then I played Elden Ring and got super into it, actually did pretty well, and that gave me the courage to try Bloodborne again. It felt slower than Elden Ring but it was much more manageable than before! I have actually gotten over half way through the game! But I've also started to play the first Dark Souls and ooooohhh my goooooood it's so slow, the faster the boss the better I am at playing against it apparently. My boyfriend said he was waiting for me to struggle fighting against the hydra, Ornstein and Smough, Sif, not that I'd defeat them on my first try with barely needing Estus at all. But then I die to trees. I think that's the thing, your girlfriend is better at faster paced games, the enemies feel more intuitive when they don't hold their gigantic swords in the air for 5 minutes before slamming them down.
