I actually think KH2's reset works pretty well even if you haven't played Chain of Memories. I don't know, it's a little confusing and maybe inexplicable but Sora himself doesn't even really know what happened. And just being left with the words "Thank Namine." Just gives you this sense that something happened and I just think it works. It's good to know the exact details of it but I think it works even without that.

I never used the pendant for manus. I did not even know it existed and Manus is one of my favorite bosses in the DS1

I do really love how Jedi Survivor and Mass Effect 3 respect the progress you made with your character. JS gives you all the abilities you had before as a base and expands upon them throughout the game and you never feel too overpowered nor too weak (mostly, fuck that frog mini boss). ME3 gives you a ton of XP iirc at the beginning if you're importing a save to level your character back up and also carries over a good deal of your paragon and renegade points.

And then a mage teleports you out, gear not included BUT you do keep some of your knowledge, like the fact that twohanding a one handed weapon like a small dagger does NOT make your attacks stronger so don't do that

Amazing - what I would give to be able to experience playing this game for the first time again. Mass Effect is my favourite series without question, and it made me genuinely emotional getting someone's reactions to playing the game for the first time, especially with that score in the background pulling up my own memories of playing through those scenes. Can't wait for the ME3 playthrough! Also, she's not wrong, she's definitely got them sniper skills down!

My pet name for Power Reseting is a "Metroid Eraser", because of all gaming franchises out there, Samus's power has been "erased" the most times, with the most plausible explanations. Sure, her reset wasn't explained in Metroid 2 or Super Metroid, but it was explained in Prime 1 (gear smashed in an elevator shaft, lol), Prime 2 (gear stolen by Ing), Prime 3 (gear corrupted by Dark Samus), Fusion (gear infested with X-Parasites), and Dread (gear reclaimed by Raven Beak). I can only assume they will offer an explanation for her reset in Prime 4 later this year.

I hated Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. I was SO excited to play as Dracula, especially after the previous game's twist hyped it up so much....I ended up being forced into stealth segments, and I just completely lost interest. To me, that was one of the biggest sequel disappointments besides Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within.

I love the "newer" Rayman games In origins you start with nothing exept walking but as u save the Nymphs we gain power (To punch,to fly,to dive,to shift size,to run on walls) And in Legends WE KEEP THE POWERS and the game still feels amazing

At the door where the death cutscene triggers, if you backdash so that the end of the dash puts you through the door, hold forward and then you'll walk back into the previous room. When you walk back through, you've effectively de-spawned the cutscene. Congrats, you get to keep all of Alucard's crazy shit. LMAO

I loved how it was handled in the final fantasy xiii trilogy. In xiii-2, you start from level 1 because the protagonists are new, the old protagonists are either crystallized, doing something else somewhere else or serving a goddess. And then in xiii-3, the protagonist from xiii isn't really level 1, but she's a bit underleveled because she's been asleep for literally 500 years

How about when Knuckles knocks the chaos emeralds out of super sonic at the beginning of Sonic 3?
