Great video, really nice project for the laser welder!! Well done too. I wish I had enough demand for one as a hobbyist that I could afford. I've though about a design for a small shop water jet 5x5 ft table (everything is easy to build) but the High Pressure water pump is the bugaboo!! A waterjet is the ultimate CNC 2d cutting machine - literally cuts anything with ease. Hey, I can dream can't I?? I worked in a shop that had a nice one for a couple of years and I ran ever personal project I could ever think of where I could use it, Ever cut glass with it!! Saves, hours of work, no heat to worry about, no de-tempering of metals etc. I also built a welding rotary chuck like you did but not near as nice!!
@TheStabbedGaiusJuliusCaesar2 ай бұрын
I've only done a little bit of welding, when I was at a couple of schools where we used oxygen and acetylene for small test projects. But these laser welders looks so much easier to achieve great results and they fascinate me.

Yes, i think so too. He has a gift, it's not only the execution, it's as if he's the metal whisperer. He comes up with these ideas to make a machine or tool, so that he can make a product with that machine/tool. A true development engineer, really talented guy. Deserves all of the credit and more. And to imagine what he could generate if he streamed more. My God. Certainly would enjoy every video. Marvelous content. A millionair in the making.

Man, I was wondering what you were making because I didn't see any reference to it at all and just watched. I'm glad I did too as that looks to be very handy to have with the laser welder, if I'm calling it right, you have to create such great looking welds. Thanks for sharing and I'd bet that if you made more of these, they would sell easily. Have a great day.

This is a wonderful piece of work! As if a factory were an industrial product. Perhaps even more so, the chuck should be protected from metal vapors and possible metal splashes - the chuck is a fine mechanical structure, sensitive to contamination.

Nice machine! Many years ago we also needed the machine for this type of application. But we have chosen an other technology: 2 lines of rollers. You put the product on the top of these rollers, the rollers rotate and the product rotates to opositive direction. With our technology we cannot weld small diameter product (depends on the gap between rollers). With your technology you cannot weld big diameter product. Also our technology always have "linear constant speed" (external diameter*), I mean the speed doesn't depends on product diameter (I have used VFD to control 3-phase motor speed). Also we don't need to fasten the product - just put it on the top and go 😊 It's hard to say which one is better. Maybe it depends on the product: our machine has been made for bigger diameter product. But I like your machine too 😉
