What size of pot at the end of this process does it hold? I have a 15cm diameter glass pot. Should I cut the ropes shorter than 200cm each? Or less ropes for pots that are 15cm diameter?

FYI, I wanted to fit a 6" terra cotta pot using 3mm cord so I added an extra 8 strings at 250cm and an extra row of knots at the bottom. Because the terra cotta pots get more narrow at the bottom, the stitching became quite close together. I'm hoping to add a tray to widen the bottom of the pot.. Otherwise I'll use another 6" pot that doesn't narrow at the bottom. Also, some of my strings became short at the bottom, so if you want long braids, elongate the strings that will require a lot of knots.

I did the entire thing in 3mm cord. I did Not change any of the measurements. Came out perfect. I have a round glass bowl in mine.

I just finished making mine. I love it! Thank you. I have a question though. Where did the 2nd cord go at the top? You showed 2 but when you went to finish it off, there was only one that you put through the needle.
