Madeira 🇵🇹 in February | Shore Excursion In A Tukxi | Cunard Queen Elizabeth

We went on a 14-day cruise with Cunard (Queen Elizabeth) visiting Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Gibraltar and Lisbon. Madeira is the first port of call after 3 days at sea. Funchal is the main port of Madeira. There is shuttle bus service for guests wishing to go to the city centre. We spent 2 days here. We bought shore excursions via Cunard and on the first day, we went to see the botanical garden. This garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in the region, with amazing views overlooking the city of Funchal. We then went to visit the famous farmers and fish market. On the second day, we opted to have the private 1-hour Tukxi tour visiting the narrow streets of the old town, new town and a couple of viewpoints. I highly recommend this tour as this gives you a dynamic insight of what living in Madeira is like. We then went to explore Funchal on our own. Madeira is a safe place to visit.
