My son passed away aged 6yrs 11 months in 2009. His bedroom stayed the same until we moved home in 2012. I still have his teddy bear which hasnt been washed, because it still smells of him, his glasses still have his fingerprints on. My clothes are still stained from the blood when they were trying to revive him. You don’t wash anything of a child you have lost. Poor little girl x

I can hand on heart say that I would not even use babysitting services in any place I don't know. I absolutely do NOT say everyone should feel like that, but, I don't know who hotels employ and that's just my opinion. They are complete strangers to me and could be anyone. I've booked to take my 8 year old son abroad with me, just the two of us, next year. He'll have an amazing time in the pool, meeting friends, going to the beach, playing football...but he will be within my sights 100% of the time. This whole group of adults are very sus. If they couldn't be bothered with the babysitting services and couldn't be bothered to take their children to dinner with them, why didn't they take turns babysitting!? Would it be so much of a hardship for one couple or even one adult to miss out on one night at the bar??

It irritates me when people say that this was normal behaviour at this time. It wasn’t normal behaviour at all. I was never left alone in a room as a child in the 80s. I took my godson on holiday to Portugal around this time both before and after this incident and would have never considered leaving him. Also the culture there can be so family friendly. They make a big fuss over kids when they eat out, children sleep in prams etc if needed. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to take your children out with you on a family holiday.
@Takecare-sx1oz
@Takecare-sx1oz 3 ай бұрын
@smooshie4210 I agree, but I think the McCanns thought it was ok to mix a family/mates holiday. The consequences of that decision were children left alone at a very young age, in an unlocked room, out of ear shot of their parents, which resulted in the loss of one of those children. We have no idea at this time how Madeleine McCann went missing, but her parents would like to push us up the abduction route without proof or logic. Each and every one of the parents at that restaurant is guilty of neglect regardless of whose children were whose and even Madeleine, a baby, questioned her own parents when she spent 45 minutes the previous night crying for them, that in my mind is a girl who was fed up of being left alone and frightened. In my view, no one checked on those babies at regular intervals, they were left to it. And the fact that the McCanns protect themselves before opening their minds to all the possibilities of their daughter's mysterious disappearance is staggering and inhumane

I’m a pediatrician and my husband is a paramedic. Being a medical professional does not harden you to the death of your own child. The agony is immediate and never goes away. 5 years later I still cry every day, I still have clothes in a plastic bag to retain her smell. Laura had many medical problems, we knew she wouldn’t outlive us, and we had her for 32 years and none of that made any difference to degree of grief. 💕🐝💕

@@amazinggrace5692 that’s nonsense, the Aggregate picture of a whole is very suspect!! What’s behind it isn’t the hardening to your child’s death? Does anybody know or predicted that poor child was slowly dying with her liver breaking down. And most people are still weary of weather it was an accident or something more sinisterly happening over a period of time ! These guys are creepy people and that’s what you see, creepy guys the way they gone about things feels weird when they discredit the very people whom are probably with good intentions but don’t ever get the credit they deserve!!

I’ve been a nurse for 40 years, and in my professional life have seen hundreds of dead and dying people, but if my child was missing, possibly abducted, I would be hysterical and unable to function in any capacity. Portuguese police knew this from the start… poor detective had his professional life and reputation dragged through the mud by the McCanns… Kate went to the apartment noticed Madeleine “was missing” and went back to the group, leaving the babies alone again… who would do that?? The couple discredited the Portuguese police, brought in Scotland Yard and their dogs, who detected blood in the apartment and car… they were discredited too!!! Then they were considered persons of interest by the police, the next day they had their arses on a plane back to the UK… I would not leave that place until I completely exhausted all options and then again!! Jerry could have concrete photographic SA dirt on Dave etc. Whilst Ms McCann would have liked a burial in an obvious place. Jerry is too calculated and logical. He would have turned Maddie to ashes or at the very least buried her somewhere no one would even look to find, somewhere so discreet. It’s Jerrys mastermind and the uk government cover up. I just wish the Portuguese police drug tested and SA checked, those other two siblings on the day Maddie was reported, and made an arrest warrant for Maddie parents the day the dogs discovered human blood and cadaver.

Cops had no interest in anything. So i bagged everything up, held numerous searches for my son, collected & bagged everything i found. Still have everything here in my home. Theres no way i would wash anything, especially my sons things. I even bought my own luminol, pretended to be a research company in Australia & ordered professionally used luminol from CSI laboratory in America & tested things i found. If your child is missing, you dont wash anything or disturb the crime scene. These parents deliberately disrupted the crime scene & evidence. Thats called guilt. Why did they clean the appartment & wash everything? Only 1 answer to that.. to cover up

I had done a deep dive into this case several years ago and I always felt that the best theory was that, while on holiday, these parents were in the habit of giving the kids mild sedatives each night to ensure they’d stay asleep and then the parents could enjoy long evenings of dining and drinking wine uninterrupted. Then perhaps Madeleine was still waking up so they accidentally overdosed her, or she had a reaction to the sedative while not being monitored. Both Kate and another colleague on the trip were anesthesiologists so they may have felt very confident in administering sedation. If there were other parents on board with the sedation of the children and if they had all agreed this was a fine plan for uninterrupted evenings, then they would all feel some culpability to keep quiet about it when things went bad. It could even have happened a night or two before the incident was reported, with ample time to plan what to do about it. I recall there was some question about lack of photos of Madeleine after a certain point in the trip.

There is also talk of one of the other children having developed bad stomach issues. So, I wonder if its possible Madeline became ill too, with the same thing? A possible bad mix. Vomiting, to death, while sedated? Or, did that illness, wake her up, and she wandered looking for her parents, whilst sedated (in a drunk like state)? Perhaps the other child's stomach issues, were really a reaction to the medication given to them all, for sedation? It is quite possible for any person to react to medication, by the body expelling it in one direction or the other. In the end, so, much can be speculated on.

The parents also refused to answer several questions when questioned by the police. Billions of funding has gone into searching for her and when "potential maddies" have come forward, believing to be her... the victims have been more eager to get the DNA carried out than the Mccans. It's like they knew already that there was no chance of finding her alive. How did they get to keep the twins? They neglected their kids in a foreign country.. I believe there is way more to this family and the actual events. Everything just seems off. The parents are odd and their stories have never been consistent. I still remember my reaction when the news broke on tv that Madeleine was kidnapped; when it was broadcasted that they hired a car after the disappearance of Maddie; I thought to myself what parent would have the motivation to go out after their daughter gone missing. I suspect the parents are involved from that day; my belief had not changed. I pray that the truth will be discovered in my lifetime time. Well done for this gentleman’s persistent effort in addition to many countless investigators’ researches we might know the truth one day soon.

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave when at first we start to deceive". The truth is so much plainer than any lie we can concoct. The moment we witness someone having to flick back through pages in their mind's plot, is the moment we see their story as a creation. For truth spills out uncontained and as pristine as a sunken galleon's golden treasure, whereas lies stink to high heaven and break into a million worthless pieces once they are discovered. I thank the universe for putting intelligent, decent, people on our paths who are prepared to take [much] time to unearth truths. Without men like Detective Stellander we'd find ourselves up shute creek without a paddle, powerless to prevent evil from persisting. You're a good man, Bernt. exactly, her first reaction should have been to look up and down the corridors, check with reception staff, ask anyone around if they'd seen her, call her name while running around like crazy, you know all the normal things all parents do when their toddler goes out of sight while in public. Not run back to her friends?! She should have immediately raised an alarm for everyone in the hotel to search for Maddie. Kids wander off all the time! She thought she'd been abducted because how could a fully sedated kid get up by themselves and leave while drowsy. Maddie had clearly been drugged to sleep.

Gonçalo Amaral even said in an interview "....Because they're mid-high class UK citizens. And the UK government doesn't like when their upmost/promising citizens get involved in scandals....". I hope you can deduce what he was implying.... Because your question/wonder DID came about. And they did swarm Portugal! I think they had a minister after 24 hours over the incident! They had reporters, police, agents,..... EVERYONEEEE and EVERYTHINGGG. Just like the case of Amanda Knox in Italy... Mrs Carlie... If your country interferes with the Justice system of another country, that's crossing a BIG red line. Or vice-versa! You could call it "Deep State" like in the USA.... If you're part of the system.... Dear, you get "free passes" in life! You have a deep state!!! Forget those politicians, left, right,.... Alllll bs! All a front!!! The world does have a clear MO.... We are not operating on the same Rights, Freedoms, Duties, etcetcetc. This is why you hear things like "Global South" or "BRICS".... That's the people that are getting dumped by the system!!! They're fed up with the lies, manipulations, the privileges, the back stabbing,... You name it of the "Northen powerful countries". You go look.... How many foreigners there get their governments involved in crime cases??? Zero?? Almost none?? Yeah.... Why that is....

Exactly, they defend the decision instead which is insane. Even in situations where it truly isn't a parents fault a child died/went missing they STILL blame themselves. I've heard parents of abducted children who were abducted just walking somewhere and the parents are full of guilt for even letting their child walk 2 blocks at a much older age. Or simply having them in the car when there was an accident that lead to death. Even when it truly isn't the parents fault they go out of their way to blame themselves. Not these parents. I had guilt afterwards for becoming hysterical because of how it made functioning to find him even split seconds easier. A foreign country? Never would I leave. You’d have to drag me kicking and screaming on a plane to leave my baby behind. Someone said the mom is broken. One can be broken in the aftermath, even if they caused it, or they covered up an accident, and couldn’t grieve properly because of it.

Perhaps because Graham Hill, "a detective superintendent and senior investigating officer with knowledge about predatory child sexual abusers and non-familial child abduction" who was sent out by CEOP when Goncalo Amaral reached out to the organization, had told the McCanns days after she was reported missing that if a sexual predator had taken Madeleine, then she was likely dead within 3 to 6 hours. Per the stats. CEOP = Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre.

They won't because various British governments have thrown literally millions of pounds at pointless searches and investigations over the years and it would be politically embarassing to then admit that was wasted. They could have just called the Portuguese police who have known the truth all along but for some reason these people have been protected from day 1. Given some of the people they knew maybe a case of what they knew about others,at least one of their personal friends was a former prominent British politician revealed to be a wrong un after his death.

Maddie died on my Birthday. I’ve not had one since where I don’t say a prayer for her soul. I moved to Australia later that year and bizarrely my neighbour had moved from Leicester. She had worked with Gerry and told me how arrogant he was and a huge flirt with the nurses. The whole thing has never sat right in my mind that Gerry and Kate were so nonchalant about the whole thing. Washing Maddie’s toy was all I needed to know that they were guilty. NO loving parent would wash a toy that was their child’s favourite cuddle toy! My Son’s bear had to wrestled from him to wash it. It smelt of him and I’d never have washed it if he’d gone missing!
