Sooo @ 9:03 me doing it in this speech voice causes my voice to distort, meaning that it starts smooth, gets raspy in between and then goes back to being smooth etc. Is that something I should be worried about? Or is it normal? 😥

I feel like your singing voice is only as good as your speaking voice. So if someone’s speaking voice is average or awful then no matter what you do it won’t translate into a good singing voice. Madeleine has a nice speaking voice hence why she can sing beautifully.
