In my opinion, I think university education should be free.There are several reasons why. Firstly, students who are from lower income family can keep pursuing their dreams. For instance, one of my friends from high school wanted to study about engineering but his parents couldn't afford the university tuition. He ended up giving up on his dream and working at a farm. If university education was free, he could have lived in his dream and fulfil his desire.Secondly, free education would increase the quality of life. If university was free, more people would go to university. They would become a valuable asset to apply for the company where they would like to work. They also could work with the better benefit in a respectful working environment. Furthermore, their life style would be more decent and prosperous. Yes, In my opinion University education must be free.According to the statistics, many young students tend to go into debt because of education loans from the banks, because of unaffordable college fees. Furthermore,Students go into lots of pressure along with their studies side by side. Looking at this conditions students might get discouraged to take up courses in the university in which they are interested. This might lead to decreasing skill levels in our youngsters required for the jobs.In the end I would like to conclude that Education must be free to every individual this will lead to a civilized Nation. In my point of view, Muslim women should definitely be allowed to wear whatever they want, which in this question is hijabs.There are several reasons for me to make this opinion. The first thing is such a country with high standard of freedom like Canada, It is inappropriate to prohibit their people wearing something. That is one of the reasons that Canadian government would use to attract immigrants. The other reason is that it doesn't matter at all. Yesterday when I was sitting on a bus, there was a Muslim woman sitting next to me with her hijab. Did I be affected? Absolutely not. I believe that people have their own right to make their decision,as long as it doesn't affect other people. As far as I am concerned, they should be allowed to wear hijabs if they want. To be honest, this question doesn't even have to be discussed in the first place. ( I am not Muslim lol)

I think University education should be free and avoidable to all. Firstly, it is the right of everyone to have good and quality education according to the United Nation Publication made recently. However, if everyone has to pay tuition fee, then it means certain people in the society might not be able to afford it (people with low income). The free education is the best way of improving the standard of living of the country's economy because it will reduce poverty level of the people, Improve quality of lives and in turn influence the GDP of any given country. Finally,the development of any country depend greatly on the level of literacy of its citizens, a good example of a country who has succeed in this good practice could be Germany. I just shared your page with friends and classmate who are willing to take the next Celpip and IELTS test in March. I have learnt a lot of skills from you and you are such a wonderful teacher to learn from....even my grandma has learn how to ask for direction from an English speaker. For whether or not parents should charge rent, I'd like to say it depends, for some children in college with student loans, it'll distract them from their studies to have part time jobs to pay rent to parents, but on the other hand if their children are already working, they should pay rent so they can learn budgeting early on.

In my opinion, I believe university education should not be free of charge for several reasons. First of all, these institutions are also businesses that worked hard to attain internationally recognized teaching standards. They have employees and professors to pay, facilities to mantain and permits to update. Another thing is that, not everyone requires equal level of financial assistance, in other words, less fortunate yet gifted students should be given the privilege for free education. Lastly, universities prepare students to be professionals in the future through accreditation to different organizations where they can have on-the-job-training. Without this, they will have difficulty to find a company where they can be guided and taught on the things to do. :)

Personally speaking, I think university education should be free. Firstly, free education helps a lot those low-income family. If those families need to pay the education, that will become a big burden for the parents and the student, who probably can not concentrate on their study... Secondly, education should not be a business. University is not a place for making money, but a place that helps the student have a better future and life... Finally, education is one of the most important issues in a country. The government should support a lot in this area. Because education is the future of a country... Hi Mark! About my thoughts concerning free o not education. Personally, I got an education ( university) for free. As often used to be, I didn't value it. So that I studied most subjects in a slipshod manner. Now I really regret it. Perhaps, if I take a loan in a bank , I would study more diligently. On the other hand, my parents and I didn't have enough money for living. It was hard times, and additional payments would be just unbearable. Although many are of opinion that university education should be made free, I believe that it is justified to charge fees from students for the good quality education offered in universities. And I’ve my reasons for saying so. Firstly, universities need to have good infrastructure, facilities and great teachers, professors and lecturers to impart good quality education to students. None of these come without paying a good sum of amount. If students aren’t paying for their education, government might be running out of funds to support these. Secondly, most students might have worked before enrolling to higher studies and might have already earned a good deal to pay their education loans. Instead of waving away the fees, universities might instead focus on imparting world class education to students and get them a great job thereafter, so that students are capable enough to pay their educational loans. Moreover, they can also partner with banks to ease out the loan approval process. On the practice of having kids to pay for their parents for their living expenses is against the ethos of family. In the attempt to get the kids more independent and responsible with money by getting them to pay their own parents for food, shelter and clothing is stretching rules. I agree in instilling the sense of responsibilities in their children to be more judicious with their spending is by putting them on a budget or a strict pocket money. They should be encouraged to part fund their education and let them save the earnings for their future. It may be different in different cultures but I believe the stronger you foster the relationship in the family the longer it runs to keep the family together.

In my opinion, university education should be free for everyone because of some couple reasons. Firstly, if people don’t have to worry about the burden of university fee, they would not let their minds out of school but learn with all their hearts. Instead of going to Manitoba for cheaper education, young adults can stay with families here in Toronto and continue with their studies without thinking about the extra expenses that may be added in this area. Another reason is that it would open chances for everyone at every ages participating the university environment and increasing their knowledge. No matter how old you are or how your current situation is, you can always have yourself back in the advanced education and get yourself the right major that you want to deepen in. For example, parents going to universities won’t have to bother about the school fee while having their children at lower educational stages at the same time but just other expenses for daily basic needs. Finally, if the country accepts their university education to be offered free to citizens, the knowledge of its people will be higher that helps to push the nation’s growth both at economic, financial and social manners. So that’s why I totally think that the idea of free university education is just right.

In my opinion, young adults should not have to pay the rent to their parents even when they turn to 21. Firstly, people around this age are usually busy with their studying, in universities or colleges, and we all know that the university education cost a lot. Some students not even have the financial ability to afford their tuition fee, not to mention about the rent. That would lay a heavy financial burden on them and may distract them from studying, which might not be the results any parents want to see. Most parents who pay for their kids for further study would hope their kids concentrate on their academic studying instead of being worried about other stuff. On the other hand, most parents would like to spend more time with their children before they become independent and leave the family, after all, parents do not have many chances to live with their kids for a long time after they getting married and start a new family. So if the young adults can live with their parents, they will have better relationship with the family and being more grateful instead of paying the rent only and treat their parents like a landlord. As a result, those young adults would take better care of their parents when they getting older rather than sending them to the nursing home or just giving them money. Last but not least, many young people plan to get married before 30, and marriage cost a lot as well. It is better for the youngster to save their money for the marriage and for their owe house, so that they would live a more stable life in the future. For such reasons, i believe the young adults should not pay the rent to their parents.

Hi Mark, pls evaluate the below speech. I made an effort to write it down in order to check my errors. "Personally, I believe Muslim women shouldn't be allowed or abide by any law to wear hijabs in Canada. It is solely depends on one's choice or decision whether they wants to wear or not. First of all, if the tuition is free people would just go to university without any specific goal or purpose. Because it is free. in my opinion,children should not pay rent to their parents for numerous reasons, no matter till what age they are staying together as there is a difference between family life and professional life. Firstly if the children starts paying rent,it will escalate the sense of professionalism among them. Secondly the intimacy among parents and children becomes materialistic,leaving the sense of belonging far behind. Finally there is strong chance that it will become vice-versa for the parents to pay children when they become old,and needs to stay with children to be taken care of. First of all by making university education free it lowers the financial burden of families, as university education is quite expensive. Many laborious students actually don't get higher education in universities because of financial affordability. This can be a very good support to those who really want to make their future by studying. Secondly there would be better employment opportunities for adults getting university education that would help making brighter future for themselves and support their families. Another reason would be if they start their own business in future they can generate further employment opportunities and help in lowering unemployment and paying more taxes to government. In my opinion University education should be free,there are umpteen reasons behind this.Firsrtly,it has been seen that student leave their University study because of high fees as they can not afford it due to this they have to face many difficulties in their future life such as unemployed.Secondly,giving free University education will lend a helping hand in order to mitigate the illiteraticy,For instance Italy government provide free University education because of which the illiteraticy number in Italy is only 3%,I think all countries should follow this trend.

In my opinion university degree education should be free. First of all the field of study has often nothing in common with a profession done for a living, so we shouldn't expect study to prepare us to certain job. So, university degree is about to give us thinking skills, ability to learn a lot in short time, knowledge of languages, friendships and other social capital. Everybody should be given this chance. Secondly, making education longer allows young adults to pick up life experience and knowledge of themselves and make them to choose better activity later. At the last having university degree it is easy to shift profession by taking part in one year course for example, focused on the unnecessary competences. That's why in my opinion university education should be free and it is how I address my students they shouldn't consider this or that subject as useful or useless, in the long run every is useful, because teaches them a lot of practical competences they make use in their lives, as soft competences for example. In Poland, where I live in and teach, studies are free for people younger than 25 while entering school.

No, I don’t think university education should be free.. but they should conduct talent exams and should provide scholarship for talented students.. This way they can manage quality and quantity both.. if everything is available for free then everyone will go to university whether they are interested in higher education or not , for taking a safe side for their future.. Off course, less talented and poor students will suffer by this system and rich but dumb students will take advantage.. but I think talented students will find their way..

In my opinion student should not pay for education when they are studying for several reasons. First of all, nowadays universities have modern facilities which is provided by local government or charities. Secondly, the cost of living is really high in these days and students have to pay for their life expenses especially those who are from overseas. Finally, if university education become free more people are able to go to the university as well. That’s why I believe that should not be payed for their education.

in my own standpoint, yes university education should be free since students are having hard time earning money and balancing things to make ends meet. there is student loan available but having a free education will make the students less stress and can focus more on their studies.In fact, some students wanna take a degree course but because of money matters, they just took short courses even if they know its not their passion or calling. some students even don't go to university since they cant make it. They just prefer to apply for a rumble work that is available just to earn money. Freeing university would be a great help also because everybody has the chance to be educated and rest assured to have a good work waiting for them.

In my opinion, university education ought to be free for a number of reasons. In the first place, making university education free of charge will help to increase human capital development in any country, because, more persons are easily able to get higher education in such countries. For example, in Denmark and Finland, university education of free, and as a result, they are one of the most developed countries in the world. A second reason why university education should be free is that it will, in the long run, help to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich in the society, because a person with tertiary education can easily get a lucrative job. This implies that the standard of living in such a country will be improved in the long run. Firstly in view of the known fact to all that the university education is a costly affair and the students have to leave their study in between during the course due to financial instability, which is not only huge loss to the students but also to the society at large. Secondly, i think the governments of respective countries should come up with some concrete Higher Education Policy with the intent to provide grants for meeting with the expenses on running the universities for the betterment of university education so that the talent shall not be wasted on account of financial constraints. In my opinion, young adults shouldn't pay for rents to thier parents. First reason, they haven't had owns financial stable else. The secondly, Neurological status is finished developing at 21 y.o. and stabilized at 25 y.o. in thirdly, they have to graduate and get professional skills, that needs some period. Education will lasts after graduating time. After graduating period is self-education more important also. More popular University education haven't never been free. If you want to get better education you have to be a unique mental, physical characteristics (unfortunately or not). An another situations you can go to universities, where studying is free. We haven't never had equality in the world. Free education is an utopia in the modern life.

In my opinion, Muslim women in Canada should be allowed to wear hijabs for several reasons. First of all, wearing hijabs is related to their religion. As long as I know, all people in Canada have a right to believe in what they want to believe. And, those hijabs show their belief of religion. Moreover, wearing hijabs does not hurt anything or anybody. In addition, if Muslim are not allowed to wear hijabs in Canada, I am really worried that it would probably lead to conflict between Muslim and racist, which might result in the loss of private and public properties and even peoples’ lives. For the reasons I mentioned, I strongly recommend that nobody asks Muslim women to take off their hijabs.

But I disagree with what you said, not asking them to remove the hijab?For example, getting the drivers license, health card or passport. You think that’s fair of not removing? It’s for identification purposes. I don’t know who the hell is inside on that hijab (male or female who knows) cause let’s face it some are really covered and we can’t even see the eyes! You refuse? And you gonna say violating your beliefs, your rights, etc? Nope! Rules are rules! I’m an immigrant too and we should all follow!

In my opinion, university education must be free for those individuals who can not afford to pay but very deserving students in the sense that these students are intelligent. So they must be given enough attention and receive proper education whatever fields they wanted to learn and study about. Considering their status or standards of living and these students really want to go to the university must be given the opportunity to study for the reason that they can not afford to pay high tuition fees. in my own opinion, Muslim women should wear hijab here in Canada because firstly, Canada is a multicultural and polyglot country. Every human race is here and racism is not acceptable. Canadians are also named as one of the nicest people besides from being so apologetic and polite so, we should really show it. Secondly, wearing hijab is their tradition so, we should respect it as how they respect us non Muslims from wearing crop top clothes or barely clothed. They are totally covered from head to toe and and that is their norm. we are in bikinis but they still respect us since its our norms too as a non Muslim. Finally, wearing hijab here in Canada is no brainer to say no since it wont create any harm or disadvantage to the other people that's why wearing hijab should be on the go as we comfort our self from what we want to do.

In my opinion University Education should not be free due to several reasons. Firstly since Canadian government is funding students with OSAP, they have the oppurtunity to study without a financial burden on them or their parents. Also young people will not value or take serious concern of the education, if it is offered free. In contrast, free university education has developed top class skilled workers in developing countries, since due to that system the under privileged segments got equal oppurtunities to education. On the contentious topic of Muslim women being allowed to wear Hijab in public, I am of the opinion that wearing one's religious or cultural beliefs in public is not right. Though Canada is a very open, welcoming society but carrying forward one's beliefs from their country or culture of origin esp. in the way they dress promotes a very regressive opinion about them and their culture. And in this case Muslims. Wearing clothes based on one's religious beliefs subjects them to various stereo typing, resentment and few case hate crimes, though none of them are justified but it can be unnerving for the victim again in this case a women. So might as well choose to blend with general population and adapt to the culture of Canada than carrying on with a practice that is permitted in other countries.
