I prefer Proctor Rd Boondocking over Bog Springs because you have a view of the valley and good cell signal, I even get a decent TV signal with my antenna, and the spaces are farther apart than Bogs. It’s best for rigs under 30ft because of dips in the road. It’s close to nice hiking along the creek. Kent Springs Cabin is the Forest Service cabin but it’s pretty much always fully booked.

@@jakckt Proctor Rd looked like a good spot except for the road being a little rough going through the creek area - more shade up at Bog Springs but this time of year less shade is better 😊

If I could predict that I'd be a millionaire! lol! Just kidding - well your best plan is to be prepared for a mixture of weather - it can be warm enough for shorts and t-shirts one week to cold, rainy and windy the next! I have a video on Winter camping you might want to check out. Today, it's going to be 72H/48L in Tucson. Which means it will be about 10-12 degrees cooler in Madera Canyon. Seeing that you're from WI you should be used to cold, so that's good - just to be safe, I'd plan for all kinds of weather! A good safe bet would be to stay in the lower elevation areas (Tucson, Yuma, Quartzsite etc.) I would avoid the Phoenix Area though, just too crowded around this place!
