Spent lots of time there from 1985-1997. I do remember the Park had a cafeteria down the hill from the Lodge. I believe it was torn down 1985-86 ish. At 19:16 that left area was an arcade it was 2 seperate rooms when it was the gas station in the 80’s.

Thanks for posting this Bill, some good information. I used to go Camping at Pickerel point in the late 80's early 90's with my parents/grandparents/family, many great memories. 90's and early 2000's we ended up renting the Cabins, more great memories. I went back this summer of 2022, rented a cabin at Ministik Beach. So much has changed since then, the old cabins are torn down and the beach looked way different than my memory, then you pointed out the water Level! that was what changed!. Sad that the lodge is closed. in the 1990's that place was buzzing with the restaurant/store/pool/gas and that parking lot at bottom of hill was full of cars. Very quiet this time which was odd, (also aug 30 - sept 3, peak season over). Hope the lodge comes back to life as it was a lively presence. Happy Pickerel point has had investment, I heard a few years ago nothing was there and camping experience suffered. I checked it out this time and the place looks very nice. I dont know what changed there but there was an awesome trail from Pickerel to Ministik, found the start of trail eventually but there must have been some development around the start of trail/dump station as nothing looks familiar. Anyway thank for the info, cant wait for your next version. This summer coin flip of Madge or east blue, Been to both dozens of times and after 15 years away I want to be a regular again. Special beautiful places that I now realize spoiled me when I was younger.

A lot has changed. We used to go to the buffet on the weekends at the lodge. Things are looking a lot better at Madge than they have in a few years. I look forward to seeing more improvements. Make sure to check the videos on Blue Lakes on the channel as well. They have a new store there and lots to see.

I also spent a lot of time there in the 90s I remember the mini golf as well.
