A very famous tidbit about her which my grandfather used to tell us about is that she was so famous that a guard at a theatre saw her feet and recognised her. She had covered herself with a black veil to avoid being recognised. That was the amount of craze people had for her. Just thought this would be interesting..

Idk why this was particularly sad to me because Karine has talked about people with some really depressing stories but this one was so so sad to me. That she died so young and people wanted her dead for just being herself. How brave of the Indian men to expand the industry from theatre to film. To showcase and hire the women from their own group wasn't that hard. Many doting father's wanted their daughters to know the value of money To have interesting conversation to find parity with your husband not just talking about house and babies . However in that domain many powerful men would pursue you and she'd have to adhere to their strict guidelines on how to conduct herself. His secretary / friend was killed and made to look like suicide and to prevent him from exposing they made it look like he did suicide. Poor guy. He was extremely genius and cute. He was unfortunately ostracized by whole bollywood industry. Maybe mahesh bhatt had some influence ( he had some wierd connection to sushant's girlfriend) or the sons of ministers who were involved with his secretary's death. Jiah khan was also killed by her bfs dad aditya pancholi who was captured on surveillance camera in her apt elevator b4 her death. He made it look like suicide and wrote a fake suicide note.
