Madhyamaheshwar : Unseen Beauty in Himalayas | 16 km long Trek | Panch Kedar | Buda Maheshwar |

Madhyamaheshwar Temple, also known as second Kedar among the Panch Kedars of Uttarakhand is a highly revered temple in the region. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.. Madhyamaheshwar Temple is an unseen beauty in the Himalayas, as the temple is located in the picturesque location in the Himalayas. One has to trek a distance of about 16 km to reach the temple. The trek is a part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary, thus offers beautiful laid out trail and mesmerizing sceneries.
The icing on the cake is the beautiful sight of the reflection of Himalayan Chaukhmaba peaks in the lake at sunrise, which is located 2 km above Madhyamaheshwar. The scene is so beautiful that one would feel that one has entered a dream. The breathtaking sunrise at Budhamaheshwar will give you memories for lifetime.
This trek is combination of downhill, medium level uphill and steep uphill terrain. There are many villages on the way where you can rest, eat, drink and have a morale boosting conversation with the locals. All mobile networks work upto Gaundar (first pit stop village) and post that only Jio will be available in few nooks and corners of the places. There is a forest patch in the journey which is mostly safe as told by the locals but it is advisable to proceed during the light hours. There are plenty of mountain water tapholes on the way to keep you hydrated. The best time to travel post-monsoon season (September - October) and in spring and summer seasons (March - June).
This journey to Madhyamaheshwar is both, an internal and an external travel taking one to places which are untouched, unspoiled and unchaotic, giving one the experience full of adventure while climbing, moments of introspection while resting, splendor of the musical Madhyamaheshwar Ganga river in the midst of quiet mountains.
If you are an admirer of the nature, explorer of the majestic experience which Lord Shiva and Himalaya provides, an enthusiast to climb the peaks and want to challenge your own status quo and comfort then Madhyamaheshwar is the place for you which is an uncommon travel destination full of exquisite surprises.

Excellent video Vishal. This is such an incredible place, especially the reflection of Chaukhamba in the small lake on Buda Madmaheshwar. When did you do this trip? Was it in spring and what month it was? Asking this because many times I hear from people that sometimes in June or September, there is a lot of cloud cover and you can't see Chaukhamba very well. Wish to see more videos from you.

I am glad that you liked the video in this capacity 😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻 We went in October 2021, yes you are absolutely right because in monsoon or spring the clouds can interfere with the clear views of the chaukhamba, so went post monsoon when sky clears up and there is bright sunshine in lust green setting. So I believe post monsoon is best time to get that view 😊, but having said that weather can change is seconds in mountains. 😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻

Plan it after monsoon, when there is good sunlight and nature is green and you get clear views. Take more days to complete journey if you want to do it slow. Facilities wise and people you meet at the trek are all awesome, no worries in that. @@sauravganguly8100 Thank you 😊 Haridwar Rishikesh se aap jayenge pahle Ukhimath Stay there for one day to acclimatise. You can book a cab for the route. Ukhimath mein stay at a good place preferable Dev Darshan Hotel, and you can give my video reference 😊They know me. Do visit Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath. From Ukhimath either continue with your own vehicle or taxi and head to Agtolidhar ( It’s a 26 Km narrow road patch) Ransi to Agtolidhar is 2km Pahle log Ransi hi rukte they kyunki vahi tak road thi aur last gaon hai vo.. Ab road Agtolidhar tak ho gai, aur vahan pahadi ke sahare aap car laga sakte ho ( It’s safe ) … Now on your way you will have small villages which have facilities to stay. Plan to go till Bantoli ( Upper ) and stay there. You will see some good, neat and clean but basic options. Start your next day early as it will going to be difficult and steep. Slowly reach to the top by the evening and there you will get facilities to stay, they will take care at nominal charges. Facilities are basic but clean. Room rent shall be maximum 500-600 and even less. So not much of a worry. At Upper Bantoli you can try Prince Hotel or Saransh Lodge. 😊🙏🏻
