Mama Termite, I lived near Riverside, California during the 1980s. We received mailers about a new landfill project called Eagle Mountain in the mid 80s. It was going to be a landfill that would create lots of jobs. The mailers never stated it’s location. I found out via the newspaper later-it is the same Eagle Mountain you talked about today. It never became a landfill or anything else, because in the 90s, the Clinton administration upgraded Joshua Tree to a national park and made it larger. A landfill at the Eagle Mountain site wasn’t allowed after that. It was going to be a lined landfill, but the government was worried about soil contamination Personally, I be wax glad the landfill never happened.

I was in first class on a delta domestic flight. A flight attendant came to first class and was talking to two other attendants. The male attendant said I’ll take care of it. He went back to coach and was there for about 4 minutes. He returns to first class and I hear him say in his Georgia accent, “If I have to turn this car around”. Lol. Some asshat in coach misbehaving and he handled it😀

Being a binge watcher of classic movies I happened upon, the Rocky Horror Picture show is probably the first film to bring new ideas to the big Screen. After I saw that "Janet" of the couple "Brad and Janet" in this classic Tim Curry tale was none other than the beautiful and supremely talented actress Susan Sarandon I was flabbergasted😊. Yet the character Janet at age 21 and Susan S. the actress at 21 playing Susan... I can't quite find the visual commonality ....the young Janet doesn't look like the young Susan and visa versa 😂

Midwest Polite works for me. Also Midwest Mayhem, which has been mentioned in other comments. BTW, carne adovada is delicious ~ pork slow-cooked in red chile sauce (heat level varies depending on who's making it). But it's definitely NOT a flavor meant for Pringles... bleah... and I do like Pringles (and love Mitch Hedberg, RIP). Overstock was great for rugs and other items pre-BBB. Their website is WAY better than Wayfair's imho, especially if you have a good idea of what you're looking for (5x7 blue rug brings up a shorter list than "blue rug"). Waiting for the dust to settle before I check it out again. Thanks for another fun Pubcast, Mama T! 🍻😎

A marketing executive who publicly says “We had this hangover, I mean Bud Light had been kind of a brand of fratty, kind of out-of-touch humor, and it was really important that we had another .” Has disdain for the current drinkers of the beer. This sent the idea to the current drinkers of the beer that they are the unwashed and needs a rich person to set them straight. Most of the drinkers of the beer, I would guess are hard working people who don’t deserve a scolding from a rich CEO. A Harvard graduate has no place telling working people anything . At end of day…it’s just beer… drink it if you like it…don’t drink it if you don’t.

Ok - I'm in Portland, OREGON - one of those who needed assistance - NOT with the gas nozzle but with the credit card machine. OMG!!! it was very particular, needed me to read things and give it validation before giving me gas. And note - our gas was the same price or cheaper than in Vancouver, WA where you had to pump your own. Also, everyone in WA comes to Portland to not pay sales tax.
