Kathleen, I’ve crossed Canada a few times, and have slept in my Jeep in the parking lot of a few truck stops. They don’t care, money allows you access to the showers. Clean, well kept, clean fresh towels. Trucks park in their area. Go to the regular parking lot and u’ll see cars parked for the night. It’s well lit, people r around, the station is manned all night, nice and safe place to sleep and shower in a town you don’t know. Showers r $10-15. No other costs

38:35 get a loaf of petrich farm cinnamon swirl bread or cinnamon raisin whatever it is, and some cream cheese icing from Duncan Hines😅, instead of paying $9 for three pieces of bread at Cracker barrel. Now I can't duplicate their blueberry pancakes but my kids loved the chicken and dumplings and we've been shopping for like holiday Halloween like that kind of Decor in there for years and years .tchotchkes

How about the people who came of age in the 1980's? Killer high interest rates, post 2 oil embargoes, Cold War Russia, Iran Hostage Crisis, destruction of the Unions, Employee's became a profit margin and not a person, high unemployment, massive lay offs, high inflation levels, massive amount of woman joining workforce. everyday could be a mental health day but bills must be paid because Mom and Dad are suffering also from layoffs. I tease and remind the young ones of the recent past, but honestly, I say push for it if you can get away from it. These mega millionaire/billionaire top levels have no loyalty to the worker except a rare few. Dolly Parton for example and Dollywood employees.
