In a way, it breaks my heart to see so few views of such a wonder. In the dark clouds of today's popular music, occasionally a bright sunbeam like this breaks through and reassures that melody, harmony, and talent are but hidden in the mist.

Indeed, it's not often I find a song like this one that grabs my attention both musically and lyrically. Have you found any other gems like this one that you would recommend?

@@GGs-c1u Andrew Bird is another light in the dark for me, exquisite writer, violinist, and observer of the times. His album My Finest Work Yet is a great place to start. He and Madison collab quite a bit.

I'm 71 and grew up with great music from brilliant writers, players and singers from the 60's and 70's and a few in the 80's. Then things took a turn and music just became less inspired and less, well, musical. But every now and then, a glimmer of light shines through the gray sameness and a brilliant star emerges. Thoughtful lyrics, a beautiful voice, and musicianship that is truly remarkable. I'm reminded of Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Madison is clearly in the same league as them, and I'm so happy to have found her to renew my faith in this generation of artists. She's a treasure, and I wish more people knew about her and could be as inspired by her music as I am.
