Wow...I'm all choked up. Finding and artist and song like this is like roaming through a dingy and harsh world for years and suddenly discovering an oasis full of life and beauty.

Saw her last night in London... Phenomenal writer, musician, performer, personality. The show really rocked, but these simple live versions on KZbin are something else. The atmosphere, incredible. Generational talent that deserves way more attention than she's already getting. Very grateful to have discovered her music
This is stunning and it's from a place I've been before. I think her name is Joni Mitchell. How much I love This.

Love the notes Madison chooses to go to. Not what you're expecting. Surprising beauty.

I also hear Joni in her voice at times, but my god, is there a better female singer/songwriter to emulate? I also hear a number of other singers, but this young woman is her own fantastic self. The vocals, the piano…mesmerizing.

This song reminds of the daily sites,, feelings, experiences, and emotions for me living and working very big and unfamiliar NYC when I was in my late teens and again in my late 20's.. Songs can have sometimes have more that just one thing to relate to.. (not always just literal)... PS- I like these "solo" versions often better than the album versions.. Truly special..

I've never heard distortion used in this way with the piano! I like it 😍 You are definitely an artist in everything you do and an inspiration.
@leftaroundabout6 жыл бұрын
I wonder what you mean by that? There doesn't seem to be any distortion in this video. Until 3:00, she uses a moderator pedal (this puts a piece of cloth between the hammers and strings, mostly mellows the sound but also adds a little buzz).

It's just the way the mic picked it up.. I agree with the other person's response here.. It also could be just a vibration in the nice older mellow piano here.

Child, paternally, I love you. You are so good. Talent, beauty, creativity... But you can be so much more. You mustn't rest in your advanced abilities. You are so far down the road I fear it will stunt your future. LOOK - deeper, longer, wider; LISTEN - it takes a long time to truly hear what is within; FEEL - it's so near and yet still a long way from being expressed, we hide so much and blush too often. I love you child, stay on the path, explore the truth, share the visions you see. Life is so short, we need to live every day as if it was the last, desperate, giving more than we imagined, expecting more than we could ever dream, surrendered to each and every note. Your gift is a blessing, thank you.
