Hi Bryan. Our dad went missing at his camping ground just the day & yr before Madison went missing. Unfortunately, we never found our dad to this day. It's a relief to know that Madison's remains were found. Prayers go out to her family. 🙏❤

It's a rare instance on KZbin to find a channel whose' creator and narrator feels like a friend. Bryan does not use an AI robotic voice, he does not edit out tiny errors, and he speaks to his audience as a real human being. He shows great respect and compassion for victims and their families and uses real images of actual scenes rather than stock video or photos. No matter the story, I enjoy listening to Bryan for these reasons. I think many content creators could learn a lot from this channel. And I think this channel deserves more views and subs. It is a rare time that I will ever suggest viewers to 'like and subscribe' for a channel. It is truly deserved. For all of you who have watched even one of his videos', if you didn't press the like button, go back and do that. So we not just encourage Bryan, but attempt to make a shift on KZbin to similar content being popular rather than most of the AI garbage that's out there. Thank you Bryan for bringing some humanity to KZbin and all the work you do despite your illness. You are very creative, original, and likeable. Don't change a thing!!

I also love this channel, and Bryan does a fantastic job. Another one I enjoy listening to is Steve Stockton. I am with you about AIs and when I am listening to a channel and it has an AI, I quit listening to it at once and if I am subbed, I let them know that I won't listen and will unsub and take away my like.

Hey Bryan, I'm sorry you are going through such an awful time with the Lyme disease. I had no idea the medications for it was so bad. I know you fell and was injured also. I'm wishing you a speedy recovery; I know it's already been a while. I truly believe the majority of your listeners do care about you. I thank you for all your great stories. I really look forward to them. I think I've seen most all of them. I'm neither a hiker, camper or adventurer but I not only love your stories I have learned a lot about those topics and National parks and all the trails like the PCT, the Appalachian trail and others. I tried listening to other channels like yours but no one tells a story like you with love and care for the people you feature and their families too. Please no need to apologize for anything. Just concentrate on getting well so we can hear more stories.

Choose your friends wisely. For her friends to leave her alone among hundreds of people she didnt know partying is unconscionable. Just because they wanted to leave they should have stayed with Maddy since that was the plan. The answer to this crime is within the people at the party that night. She was most likely assaulted and then murdered the night of the party.
@darkwoods1954
@darkwoods1954 Жыл бұрын
Her friend was injured and didn't want to be there stuck with a bunch of strangers that had upset and caused her to get hurt but Maddy wasn't bothered about going with her injured friend. You could just as easily turn it around and say Maddy was a bad friend. If it had been Geordie who went missing after leaving the party people would be saying what a bad friend Maddy was for not accompanying her injured friend because she wanted to stay to have fun and that was more important to her. Adults are responsible for themselves and you can't sacrifice your time babysitting others constantly.

Why didn't Geordie call Madisons mom when she went back the next day and the truck was there and the tent but not Maddy? How did Geordie find Daddy's rings just laying in the tent somehow yet no one at that party the next day had? Come on. She knows more.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling with Lyme Disease Bryan. I have Systemic Lupus. I took HCQ ( prescription med) for 20+ years, with excellent results. It actually put me in remission. One of my friends was diagnosed with Lyme disease about 7-8 years ago. I mentioned how well I was doing on the HCQ. Guess what!! She asked her doctor to put her on it to treat her Lyme disease. She figured it wouldn’t hurt to try. Guess what!! She’s also doing extremely well!! My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Maddison. I can’t imagine the heart break they’ve suffered. I hope someday the family gets justice for Madison. Please don’t put me in the drawing for the coin. I would love to have one, but I would rather someone else be blessed with it. ❤❤ ❤. I hope you keep well, Bryan. The problem in this case is that Madison was absolutely determined to stand her ground and stay at the campsite in spite of the obvious dangers of being surrounded by drunk males who were strangers to her. The tragedy is she did not realise the dangers this situation presented. It is clearly foul play, rumours suggest that Madison may have threatened to report some drug activity going down, and paid a terrible price. Her remains have been found on a specific property, so the property owners must be sweating bricks right now!

Drinking and drug use by women put them at great risk, and to be alone is even worse. Alcohol and drugs negatively affect a person's decision making leading to greater risk. I wonder if maybe it was an accident. If the tent was flattened at some point then it could be possible that someone accidentally ran over her tent while she was sleeping. They realized it was bad then covered it up. I think they need to find out all the vehicles that were at the site and start from there. I’m guessing that maybe they cleaned the area she was on and pushed all the other stuff to the side of the tent. I would assume the outside of the tent was investigated as well as the inside( I hope).Teen/ young adults drinking= dumb decisions. I’m very glad they found her and her family has some closure.

One question that keeps coming to my mind is why did all the partygoers leave in the middle of the night? Usually at a party like that, they would stay until the sun came out and then left. Seems odd that by 3:00 am nearly all of the campers were gone, assuming that this is the truth. Did they feel unsafe or felt threatened by someone or something? I would have to wonder if the rowdy group later came back or were hanging around nearby, others saw them, felt threatened by their presence and started leaving. There was something that caused everyone to leave early perhaps. Bad feeling about something, perhaps. I would be very concerned about this group possibly coming back and causing problems. Someone may have been hanging around or hiding out somewhere waiting. Madison was alone after 3:00 am. I don't believe that she was killed at the campsite as if there were the case, there would have been evidence of it. She was taken somewhere else and then harmed.

100% believe that foul play's involved, though I don't think she was taken... I think she went willingly with someone she knew at least a little bit, and something went south from there. So sad. Thank you for posting this. FYI to all parents of teenagers: the reason these parties are posted on FaceBook or other social media is a silent way of inviting in "older" adults who can bring in liquor, beer, etc., as well as a silent invite to drug dealers. I wish this young woman had taken her friend and the boyfriend of her friend seriously. The fight was not over nothing. That fight raised a red flag of danger. So sad. Thank you for making this video. I first heard about this case only a few months ago, but something about it stuck with me. I wouldn't have known that they found her without your video. I'm glad I found your channel and I hope you're feeling better. When your health fails nothing else matters. Thanks for soldiering through.

It seems that. When a person separates away for just a minute to pee, is when something happens & that is the point of separation. That is when something happend to me. Jesus saved me when I called out for him. One time it was Sasquatchs, another time a ufo. It had to drop me when I cried out for Jesus. One of the soles of my shoes completely warn off. I keep Jesus in my heart ❤

Through the year's I have kept up with Maddys case,and had began to wonder if she would be found. I'm so happy to hear that at least they know where she's at. Now let's pray they will be able to identify the individual (s) involved, because I believe foul play 100%

In 1969 a 6 year old boy named Dennis Martin went missing from the Spencefield Appalachian Trail shelter in the great Smoky Mountains and a massive search like the one described in this video took place. A park tracker named Dwight McCarter who participated in that search said not too many years ago that the way the massive search was conducted actually taught them how NOT to conduct a search because initial clues which were found at the beginning were trampled on by other untrained searchers before they could be investigated. Dennis was never found. Now the park will only allow a few well trained trackers conduct searches and results are much better. Other Parks use the lessons learned so I am surprised the Canadians did not follow the better procedures.

I don’t think I’d find it weird if my friend was camping by a lake and their tent was empty by 8:30. People get up early to hike or fish or swim. Why would she still be in her tent that late?

Hi Bryan, sorry to hear of your multiple challenges right now. Hope you have friends or family with or near you helping out. Will pray for you. As far as Maddie, RIP, it’s a shame she didn’t leave with her friend and her boyfriend. They tried to tip her off that something was wrong in that group. Hope the person(s) responsible for her death are brought to justice.

My late husband's family lives north of Vanderhoof so I've been through that area often over the years. I remember seeing the signs and billboards about Maddy. I wish she'd been found alive but after 12 years it wasn't going to be likely. My love goes out to the family. I hope the authorities can find out what happened sooner rather than later.

It will be interesting to learn what the RCMP know and have kept as hold back information. Definitely, finding Ms Scott's remains opens many more clues, particularly if the police have tips that can be corroborated. I hope they can find this perp(s). It may solve other Highway of Tears murders.

I've followed this story since the beginning; given the terrain and relative scarcity of people near Vanderhoof, I never expected Madison's remains to be found. This should be a bigger story than it is; there's simply too many people going missing in the wild - and sadly, the disappearances are often at the hands of other people, rather than "the wild." I certainly hope the FBI have been consulted; the RCMP don't have nearly the experience to work a big cold case like this, more than a decade on - they'd be better-off consulting the Vancouver PD, since they deal with a lot of significant crime. Hoping for resolution and peace for the Scott family; what a terrible ordeal for them.

To teens, unfortunately we live in dangerous times, it's not wise to try and be cool and just trust whomever, you need to be street smart and know how to read people and not be so quick to trust anyone especially that you do not know. I'm young and nothing will happen to me thinking, is a dangerous mindset to have.

I have never stopped following this case. At the time my own child my daughter was 19 years old so it just brings it right to your heart. My daughter two went off on camping adventures sometimes I did not keep track as best as I should’ve but she always came home, we take so much for granted. This could happen to anyone of us now my daughters in her 30s she’s a CPA and about ready to give birth to her first born. The Scott family should be experiencing all this stuff. And they were robbed of it so so absolutely tragic.

Hmm I really hope there's more news about to come out. Brittany Drexel, Brandon Lawson and now Madison Scott found fairly recently. I went down such a rabbit hole with maddy's disappearance. I though "where was Israel Keyes at the time" to "this feels like a Faith Hedgepeth situation". I camp a lot and am out in the woods by myself quite a bit (except I keep protection with me) and I imagined myself in her shoes. It's so terrifying. She's obviously stuck with thousands of people who didn't even know her. I'm glad she was found. Someone had to know otherwise what did they have to get thst search warrant? I'm wondering if it was more than one person because I think this girl could fight hard. I also hope they find the phone, maybe it'll reveal more, but after 12 years it's a long shot.

I remember when this all happened and when Maddie first disappeared from Hogsback Lake in British Columbia. This was one of those cases that really busted me up, since Maddie was so young, had her whole life in front of her, and was a very well known and liked person in her community. I grew up in Montana, and my family spent a lot of time in British Columbia, so this case kind of hit home for me. I wanted to go up and help in the search for Maddie, but never did make it. I wish I had, though. I am actually kind of stunned right at the moment, as I had no idea until now, that Maddie's remains had been found. I am incredibly saddened that someone could have harmed her. I personally do believe that someone harmed her, though this has not been stated, and her cause of death has not been released by the officials in BC as of yet. Maddie's family will now have some answers and perhaps some form of closure, but I don't know how one goes about 'getting over' something like this. I just cannot imagine. This is an incredibly tragic case, and I hope the answers will soon be found, and whoever is responsible will be arrested and tried. Thanks for covering this case, and thank you for the update. All the best to you, Bryan. I hope things improve for you very soon.

Whoever came up with the term 'closure' had no idea what they were talking about. There can be no closure after having your heart ripped to pieces, living with hope and fear and questions 24/7. It is never closed or over ! May Maddie rest in peace, and her parents find the rest of the answers to the many more questions they must still have. So sorry to hear you've been sick, and having troubles with the medication. I hope you are totally well soon, and enjoying life. I would also like to be considered for the coin draw. Thank you. 👍 🇨🇦 ✌️
