I think he's right around the area where they left him. He probably had to go to the bathroom and stepped a little out of the way and fell into something, be it a hole, cliff, or water. I can't see an experienced man like him, to just keep wandering and not staying put and not letting off a shot or 5.

You are a very good person, Bryan. Glacier Park, Montana! Gorgeous Park and fantastic tiny towns with great saloons. I was on the west side area but there is an east side area too. Met gold panners, mushroom pickers but never did try the pickled gizzards on the saloon counters.

My mom always told me the dangers of hitchhiking. I never did.

Frozen or not, I don't believe a body would remain intact after 8 years in the wilderness. And it is above freezing in northern Alaska at times.

It's not the cops fault, every actual killer lies to the police.

I backpacked into West Glacier and stayed at Apgar campground while this search was going on. One of the rangers helping with the search gave me a ride into the park and informed me of the search. I saw the helicopters flying around in the area. Good to know they found him alive. Also, some of these comments are ruthless- I think this young man likely learned his lesson!
