It's a scary feeling when they are that close. This same tornado went right over my house in Cheatham Co. Fortunately we live below a big hill, so the tornado literally bounced over us but destroyed everything on each side of us for about 300 yards in each direction. A friend sent us some drone pictures of it right over our area and it was ominous and black. We got in the basement and even though my ears were popping the roar of this thing was deafening. Too close for comfort. Watching your video, I was really surprised that the power on your street didn't go out. Glad you guys were ok.

The tornado at this location was ranked a high end EF2 tornado. There was a confirmed tornado by other trained storm chasers on sight tracking this one. You really can hear that constant roar-like sound real loud around 1:32 Minute mark. Unmistakable tornado sound a.k.a the freight train/jet engine sound. The place the explosion occurred was an electrical plant. This tornado occurred right at the peak of this Dec. 9th, 2023 tornado outbreak. 11 total confirmed tornadoes touched down that day.

Its crazy how calm it seems from this point. I was on the galletine pike headed towards my place in Hendersonville bc i heard it might touch down on the west side. That explosion was less than 10 seconds behind me on the pike and it was some apocalyptic shit, my rear window consumed with hellfire just seconds behind me. I turned on the emergency news and they said Hendersonville was getting hit by tornado so i had no choice but to turn around back towards te explosion. I was so terrified by what i was seeing in front of me I didn't even know a tornado was right behind me and caused that explosion. Came up to a downed powerlines 15 seconds later and turned left into a neighborhood, street was soon blocked by a tree and then I gave up running, pulled into a Guatemalans driveway and called my family to tell them i love em. Sounded like a freight train was passing right by and with the debris flying around and neon lights consuming the sky every 5 seconds i felt terror worse than Filipino in the north pole. Few minutes later the Guatemalan came out to see if i was okay and we embraced like a couple a gay boys that narrowly escaped a gay bar shooting. Moved out of he hendersonville the next morning and moved to Phoenix. No mas tornado town para mi

I’m a lineman for the power company. Those are not “transformers blowing up”. That is a cross phase or phase to ground flash. In my over thirty years of linework I’ve only seen 2 transformers blow up. Each one at different power companies. The commentator is clearly not understanding that?
@southernenigma34275 ай бұрын
The commentator is clearly an idiot for wanting to film instead of taking shelter. Society wonders how so many people get hurt or killed during tornadoes. It's because they wont stay off the effing road in bad weather and they wont seek shelter while there's still time. I dont feel sorry for people that knew it was coming and just "crossed their fingers" and shit and hope it missed them.
@johnclyne63505 ай бұрын
@@southernenigma3427 The other are people who feel compelled to run or jog after a big wind storm here in Connecticut (New England). We are surrounded in old growth trees here. After a big storm there are trees & parts of trees down everywhere. The worst are what we call “widow makers”. Parts of trees laying in other trees waiting for an excuse to fall. Folks just run around barricades thinking it doesn’t apply to them or just don’t see the hazards above them? We will be working aloft thinking no one else is nearby & we could be dropping broken parts of trees to the ground & we’ll hear “you almost killed me with that”. My reply is “this is a restricted zone”. “You’re not supposed to be here”? There is a reason the town closed the road, they don’t want folks to get hurt? Well, they think they own the road? Some of them are educated people. It takes all kinds!
