Recorded at the 2016 Mid Atlantic Dance Jam. MADjam is the largest West Coast Swing party in the Eastern United States. It features NASDE and WSDC contests for amateurs and professionals, dozens of workshops and amazing social dancing that brings over 1500 dancers together from around the world on the first weekend in March. If I’m not mistaken he is gay, so I think the women don’t take anything he does seriously; meaning I think they view it like he is stepping into a character…for those few moments he’s playing a role. So I’m guessing that’s the reason. I could be completely wrong though.

They are both fantastic!! I could not stop grinning from out of sheer admiration and respect and pleasure in their chemistry and talent. Lindo is phenomenal and Jessica is delightful. Both of them are great dancers. And to everyone without a "typical" dancer's body... dance is for *everyone*... go ahead and dance if the music moves you!!

The more I watch him, the more I realize it's the ladies that make John look good. He's a ham that needs a really skilled partner to figure out what he's trying to do. When he's matched up with a lady who is less confident or just uncomfortable with his antics, it's not pretty.

OK, I get that, but I've also seen him make small hand signals to the ladies he dances with so they know what he has in mind before he does it. Yeah, he IS a ham but to me, that's part of what makes his dancing fun to watch! He's a character with a capital C!

Yes, I absolutely agree. He's a crowd-pleaser, for sure. His antics definitely make it fun to watch. I just wouldn't want to be the one dancing backward, trying to guess what he has in mind, and hoping he doesn't drop me on my tush in the middle of a dip.

If I was a woman, I wouldn't dance with a fatso like that. How much does he weigh 300 pounds ? He has the luck that he dances with very capable women, who do all the work for him, while he makes obscene moves every now and then.

Yes Toby...he did, and didn't recognize it in time to cover her response. Plus had they danced much before, she would have covered his "false" lead with a complimentary move. VERY RARE from MIGHTY JOHN! BUT...this happens ALL THE TIME...and DOES get covered by one or the other....AND WE DON'T SEE IT!!!!!!! PLUS just add in.....the INSANE amount of non-verbal cues going on in an improvisational dance such as this!

eyesoflight12 They might have danced together before, I’m unsure of that, but it is true that they do pick your partner at random. Jack and Jill events are improv only where couples are randomly paired. That’s what makes them so special, in my opinion.

she's a good sport.. but he clearly crosses the line with her shirt etc. and makes her uncomfortable... I would never dance with him.. He does this frequently with his partners.. I wouldn't trust him.. When a man leads, a lady must follow..for him to lead where she doesn't want to go is messed up..a little flirty would be one thing..but.. no matter how skilled he clearly is, crossing that trust line is inexcusable..
